DESCRIPTION Haddock’s End is No. 1 Portherras Cross, a row of what is believed to be former miner’s cottages and No. 1 stands at the end of the row in a pleasing position. The cottage has been greatly extended to the rear and now forms a generous and beautifully presented three bedroomed home that benefits enormously from wonderful views to the sea. The views look beyond land that dips down to the sea with a broad expanse of blue water beyond. The outlook can be seen from two of the bedrooms, the bath/shower room, the sitting room and the dining conservatory as well as from the rear garden and is much more than a slither along the horizon. The cottage is also within simple walking distance of the coastal footpath, Pendeen Lighthouse and various coves around this stretch of coastline

and it has proved a successful holiday let, but could just as easily be used as a main home in this community centred village.

To the front is a stone walled lawned garden with a smart modern gate opening onto a recently laid granite chipped path to the front door. At the rear is a further enclosed garden with a spacious decked terrace and beds filled with spring flowers. On the opposite side of the access lane across the rear of the cottages is a generous parking area, although this is not on the property’s Title, it has been used without hinder and replicates the other cottages parking areas (see Agent’s Note 2). Inside Haddock’s End is a delight with an initial entrance hall then leading into the generously proportioned dual aspect sitting room which has a painted beamed and boarded ceiling. A door from here opens into the dining conservatory to the side which has a vaulted translucent roof and windows around the entirety of two sides. To the rear is a modern galley kitchen with a rear lobby, wc and a ground floor bedroom beyond. The first floor is set off a surprisingly large landing and comprises two double bedrooms and a spacious bath/shower room fitted with modern white sanitaryware. This truly is a turn key holiday rental or main home property that has been fastidiously maintained and now offers exceptional value for money. LOCATION Haddock’s End is found in the coastal village of Pendeen, less than a mile from Portheras Cove which is one of a few good sized beaches in the area and sits below Pendeen Lighthouse. A little known beach, it is revered by local surfers, although in calmer conditions it is ideal for families. The South West Coast Path leads away from Portheras
