OUR TRACK RECORDS & EXPERIENCESSANRALBe-Sure planned and managed the logistics and mobilization of more than 5000 people attending the respective roads opening events where crowds gathered in anticipation of Minister Dipuo Peters’s speech. These events were hosted in the Eastern Cape, North West Province, KwaZulu Natal and the Northern Cape.

THE SABCBe –Sure in association with Molite Productions partnered with The SABC during the SABC’S Mpumalanga 60’s Festival.On the 22nd of June 2014 we arranged the funeral of the late Makhosonke Eddie ZondI at the Soweto University of Johannesburg, where our nation mourned the loss of this legend. The Minister of Arts & Culture the honorary Nathi Mthethwa was amongst the speakers at the Memorial Service that took place 2 days earlier on the 20th of June 2014 at the Standard Bank Arena.

THE PRESIDENCYBe sure was in charge of managing all logistics pertaining to various meetings between the President, Deputy President and various stake holders. We also assisted with the funeral of the late Mme Masefeko Motlanthe, the mother of former Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe.

THE MPUMALANGA GOVERNMENTOur company arranges conference facilities for several Cabinet Meetings if and when needed, We were also responsible for all logistics pertaining to the opening of the Mpumalanga University.

THE NORTH WEST GOVERNMENTBe-Sure was appointed to assist with the mobilization and logistical arrangements for the opening of several projects hosted by the then Premier Thandi Modise (Current Chair of NCOP).

THE LIMPOPO GOVERNMENTLimpopo Province hosted the Presidential Gala Dinner during the Easter weekend at the Magoebaskloof hotel. Be-Sure provided the necessary infrastructure, including but not limited to an 800 seater Marquee, flooring, Carpeting, Décor, Air conditioning, Screens, Sound and Stages.

THE DEPARTMENT OF ARTS & CULTUREOn Reconciliation Day at the unveiling of Late President Nelson Rohlinhlanhla Mandela statue at the Union state building Be sure as contracted by Crocia Events for the Department of Public Works event, when We assisted a company “T Music Man” with the provision of Marquees, Toilets and other related infrastructures for a last minute solution.

THE DEPARTMENT OF SPORTS & RECREATIONSBe-Sure managed and hosted the New Age morning Live network session at the Nelson Mandela Foundation prior to the Nelson Mandela Games in 2014. The New Age Morning Live Breakfast included both, The Department of Arts and Culture as well as the Department of Sports and Recreation.

THE CITY OF TSHWANEOur company has managed more than six community engagement Imbizo’s on behalf of the City of Tshwane Mayor’s office and Mayoral committee Members. These events were hosted in numerous locations within the cities regions and attracted between five to ten thousand participants per event. Be- Sure was responsible for all logistics including but not limited to Marquees, transport, food, and entertainment, public announcement flyers/posters as well as the meeting and compliance requirements of the (JOC) Joint Operations Committee.

GP SPORTS, ARTS, CULTURE & RECREATION: WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATIONWe were appointed to manage and execute the Gauteng Provincial Women’s Day Celebration that was hosted at the Union Building Lawns on the 9th of August 2014. Be-Sure executed this project with precision. We appointed the performing artists, provided the necessary Security and infrastructure as well as two big screens and an impressive backdrop for the stage.

DEPT. OF AGRICULTURE FISHERY AND FORESTRY (DAFF) Be-Sure was appointed by DAFF to coordinate celebrity ambassadors for media launch and all public Imbizo events. The role of Be-Sure was to make certain that in all messages of the department the selected ambassadors plays a role in carrying that message and motivating the public to rally behind it.

TATA NELSON MANDELA COMMEMORATION DAYWe organized the logistics for the National Department of Social Development at the Freedom Park in Pretoria to commemorate the passing away of Tata Nelson Mandela. The event was attended by various Minister and addressed by Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa as Acting President for that period.

The event was also broadcasted live on Morning Live and it included laying of wreaths at the Nelson Mandela statue Union Building.

GAUTENG SPORTS REMEMBRANCE WALkOn the 5th of December 2014 it was exactly 1 year since the passing away of the first democratic president the late Dr Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. The Gauteng department of sports arts and culture then celebrated this moment through a memorial walk on the same route that his coffin was driven on during the time when his body was lying in state.

We organised the march from the Freedom Park in Pretoria to the Union Building and the walk was led by Mama Graca Machel. We worked well with the Tshwane Municipality officials and all relevant and involved stakeholders. We had to put together a Free Music festival with AKA, Casspernyovest, Oliver Mtukudzi amongst others. The event is planned to be an annual event.

DHET & FP&M SETA IMBIzO WEEkDuring the Imbizo focus week we were appointed by the Department of Higher Education to mobilize and help host an Imbizi in Richmond near Pietermaritzburg in KwaZulu Natal. The event was planned for 5 000 learners and community member whilst the Fibre Processing, Manufacturing Sector Education and Training Authority were also launching a skills centre for R 25 Million.

We had to mobilize, publicise, build marquees for exhibition and imbizo itself. We appointed local caterers from the area through the municipal database in order to contribute to the local economy.

AFRICA MONTH OPENING PARADEThe National Department of Arts and Culture hosted a parade to launch the Africa Month which was held in May 2015. The event had parade troops from various provinces and like all marches, we had to book roads in Tshwane for them to use from City Center to the Union Building. We provided food for all troops, marshals, security personnel, VIP and Festival Artists. We provided Roof Stage, LED Screens, Sound, Audio Visual and overall production equipment. The event came at the back of foreign nationals attacks in South Africa thus some of participants included foreign nationals from all over Africa.

MkHAYA MIGRANTS AWARDSOn Africa Day the 25th May 2015 we staged the first Inaugural Mkhaya Migrants Awards for the Department of Home Affairs at Gallagher Convention Centre. The event was to recognise and honour the contribution made by migrants to the development of South Africa. We provided full production for the awards ceremony with performance by Vusi Mahlasela, Oliver Mtukudzi, Jazel Brothers, Simphiwe Dana, AKA and Black Motion.

In attendance was Deputy Minister of Communications Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams, Deputy Minister of Public Enterprises Bulelani Magwanishe, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Fatima Chohan and the host, Minister of Home Affairs, Malusi Gigaba. The keynote speaker for the night was the African Union Commission Chairperson Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma the former Minister of Health, Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs. We were sub contractor and provided infrastructure for Dlamini Weil Event Company.

MANDELA DAY DHETWe provided performing artists during the Nelson Mandela four day event initiated by DHET. This event occurs annually and is hosted in a different province every year, exposing our learners to various career choices. This initiative was initiated, in the spirit of remembrance to the late Doctor Nelson Mandela.

The event was attended by more than 12 000 learners. The main Speakers included Deputy Minister Mduduzi Manana. And the minister of The Department of Higher education and Training, Doctor Blade Nzimande.

GPSACRBe-Sure was responsible for all logistics during the National Women’s day Event hosted at the Union Building in PretoriaThis event was addressed by the MEC for Gauteng Department of Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation Mme. Molebatsi BopapeWe provided ablution Facilities, water points for the march, security and sound & stage for more than 5 000 participants.

LAUNCH OF HARRY GWALA TRUSTThe community of KwaDambuza conveged on the 20th June 2015 to commemorate, respect, remember and honour the late struggle stalwart Themba Harry Gwala. This was marking 20 year since the death of “The Lion of the Midlands” as he was popularly known. The event was held in Ward 21 where his home is and there was even an early morning visit to his grave. Be Sure event provided all the Logistics: Taxis for Commuting to the stadium in ward 21, food for masses, sound and stage, gala dinner at PMB City Hall, banners, décor and artist. There gala dinner was also the launch of the Harry Gwala Trust to help raise money to educate the youth of South Africa and uMgungundlovu in particular

All the above logistics were provided for free of charge and we believed in the course and not everything is about more or profit to us.

DEPARTMENT OF ARTS & CULTURE #YOUTH DAYThe National Department of Arts and Culture (DAC) and the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) had appointed Tsalena Media which worked with Be Sure Events to plan, manage and deliver a successful National Youth Day in 2015. The event was held at the Tshwane Event Centre for 10 000 people and Be Sure provided Security, Cleaning, Catering, Artists, Screen, PA Sound System & Stages for both main event and overflow. We also helped with loud hailing as part of mobilization and did coordination of all other provinces attending the event from outside Gauteng. We worked closely with DAC, Presidency, NYDA, SAPS, Tshwane Metro Police and Disaster management.

DHET MANDELA DAY 15 – 18 JULY 2015 @ RICHARDS BAYBe Sure Events was involved the National Department of Education 2015 Mandela Day in Eskhawini near Richards Bay. Here we provided production and artists like Thembi Seete, Dj Malwela and Sgqemeza to talk to high school learners and motivate them. The event took place over 3 days with learners from various surrounding schools brought in for motivation and career guidance and with ultimate address by Minister and Deputy Minister of DHET. As this coincided with the untimely tragic death of Hon Thulani Mashaba our infrastructure came handy towards the memorial service of the late Deputy Mayor of uThungulu District Municipality and ANC Chairperson of Musa Dlala Region.

MANDELA DAY FOR DAFF @ PIET RETIEF The other event for Mandela Day in 2015 which Be Sure Events planned its organisation and implementation was for the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Be Sure helped Clearwater Communications deliver the best event befitting for Mandela’s memories and character to the people of Mpumalanga. The event was help in Piet Retief and addressed by the acting Premier of Mpumalanga and Deputy Minister Bheki Cele (Ndosi). Here we provided Security, Marshals, Catering, Marquees, Chairs, PA Sound & Stage, Ablution and Artists.

GAUTENG WOMEN’S DAY UNION BUILDINGThe Gauteng Department of celebrated the National Women’s Day with the similar match of 1956 just and the backdrop of the end of the ANC Women’s League congress of 2015. Be Sure provided logistics for the march from route booking, water sachets, ablution along the route, marshals, mobile sound truck and entertainment. The event was led by the former MEC Mme Molebatsi herself and various leaders. The event ended at the Union Building which is where wraths were laid by the Nelson Mandela Statue and all speeches took place there.

REDBULL X-FIGHTER EVENT UNION BUILDINGOn the 12 September 2015 VWV organised the second Redbull X-Fighter in South African at the Union Building. The event attracted over 30 000 crowed from all walks of life and all races. The role for us at Be Sure was to provide the best but much needed infrastructure for the success of this international event with lots of sporting protocol. The mayor of the City of Tshwane which is the host and sponsor addressed the crowd in attendance and officially opened the event. The X-Fighter event was a true success at all level and through all required measurements.

GAUTENG GSACR COMMUNITY MEETINGS @ ALL GAUTENG REGIONSThe former MEC Mme Molebatsi had a programme of interacting with community members during the course of 2015 before moving to Department of Social Development in Gauteng. We were asked to assist with printing and posting posters, loud hailing and general mobilization for these important engagements. We did exactly that and then provided PA and Sound System for the actual events too.

GDE PARENTS OPENING ADMISSION DAY On 24th October 2015 just before the Gauteng Department of Education under the leadership of Panyaza Lesufi called all parents with changing school kids in Gauteng to Parents Admission Open Day. The event was preceded by the meeting between the MEC, SGBs and School Principals of all schools in the province. This events was also in its own way pre examination prayer for the matriculants. The logistics here we not so complex because the event was in the Ticketpro Dome in North Riding. We provided exhibitions stalls, water, marquees, PA & Sound and Stage.

SANRAL R71 ROAD OPENING #zCCMORIABe Sure Events was part of history as the R71 road known as Moria interchange, the road built to reduce the congestions for the congregation of Zion Christian Church in Zion City Moria was opened on the 30th October 2015. This event as expected was attended by thousands of people in the main the members of the ZCC. Bishop Lekganyane and Minister of Transport were main speakers for the event and also opening the road officially. Be Sure provided all logistics for this important event from transport, mobilization, catering, artist and church requirement.

DIRCO - #FOCACThe Forum on China Africa Corporation was the last event that Be Sure event executed in 2015. This event was huge with multiple activities from morning live, luncheon for African government officials, Dinner, official state visit and ultimately the actual FOCAC Summit by heads of states. We were appointed by the Department of International Relations (DIRCO) to provide production of various events, Décor and assistance to various Chinese companies with logistics. This was one of the most exiting international event we did for 2015 and very enriching for us as a company.

CABINET LEkGOTLA FEBRUARY 2016The Cabinet Lekgotla of 2016 was the most important one post the development of late last year which impacted on the rand and the economy. The company was appointed to organise all the logistics for the Cab Lekgotla 2016 from 02 – 05 February. Be Sure was responsible for meeting venue set up, microphones, recordings, lunch venue set up, décor and provision of marquees. Part of the main requirement for managing the above event is a National Intelligence Agency (NIA) Clearance certificate given the level of confidentiality involved here.

FUNERAL OF MR GIBSON “GIBBS” THULABe Sure events was proud to be the chosen service provider for the befitting send-off of the late Mr Gibson “Gibbs” Thula. We had to provide marquee and chairs at home for the whole week church services until the day after the funerals. We also did build the lunch infrastructure by the Fourways Memorial Cemetry site. This was because all guests were to be served on grave site post burial.

SOLOMON MAHLANGU COMMEMORATION & CELEBRATIONThe City of Tshwane held the Solomon Mahlangu Commemoration and Celebration on the 27th of April 2016. Be-Sure Events was appointed to facilitate the artists performing at the event, mainly local groups within the City of Tshwane. Be-Sure Events coordinated the entire line up and technical riders as well for smooth performance during the Cultural aspect of the event.

CITY OF JOBURG IDP EVENT (NASREC)On 30 April 2016, The City of Joburg appointed Hotsauce Productions to coordinate the IDP community consultations event at Nasrec. Be-Sure Events Solutions provided infrastructure (marquees, flooring, chairs, fire extinguishers and related equipment. We made sure that the event run smoothly from beginning to end and the City of Joburg was highly satisfied.

MUNICIPAL MANAGERS CITY TOUR AND WELCOME COCkTAIL FUNCTIONThe City of Tshwane hosted municipal managers from all over South Africa in June 2016. The City of Tshwane arranged City Tour and Welcome Cocktail Function for these public servants. The Cocktail function was held at the State Theatre while the formal dinner was held in Centurion at Leriba Lodge. Be-Sure Events was responsible for the Décor, provision of Sound and Stage, Entertainment, Catering, Refreshments and Gifts. As a company, we were happy to provide such a service to municipal managers from all corners of South Africa as this provided ample opportunity and exposed us to other business opportunities for the future.

OPENING OF BHUNGA BUILDING IN MTHATHAThe Opening of Bhunga Building in Mthatha was held on Mandela Day by the Department of Arts and Culture to commemorate the day for the late President. The event was attended by over 5,000 people and coordinated by Hybrid Communications. Be-Sure Events provided all the required Infrastructure and was responsible for all the logistical arrangements and event management. We supplied the Marquees, Furniture, PA System, LED Screens and Generators. We also managed the local Caterers whilst provided Security for all attendees including Dignitaries.

OPENING OF GA-RANkUWA PRIMARY SCHOOLIn conjunction with Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development, and attended by 5,000 people, Gauteng Department of Education had the official Opening of Ga-Rankuwa Primary School. Be-Sure Events was appointed as the service provider for the provision of infrastructure such as Marquees, Sound & Stage, LED Screens, Generator, Lighting and Furniture. Be-Sure Events also, as part of Health and Safety requirements was responsible for the provision of all compliance certificates, i.e. Electrical and Structural Certificates. We also had to appoint the caterer to provide Food for both Public and Dignitaries, and for such, we also included local service providers (Caterers).

WOMEN’S MONTH LAUNCH, MOTUBATSE HALL, SOSHANGUVEThe Department of Women held the Women’s Month Launch event in Soshanguve. This event was to launch the Women’s Month for the year 2016 by the Minister of Women, Ms. Susan Shabangu. Be-Sure Events provided the event’s Audio-visual requirements, being PA System, microphones, etc. This was attended by over 1,500 community members and relevant structures, especially those focused on Women Emancipation.

LAUNCH OF THE SWELLENDAM WASTE WATER TREATMENT WORkS, WESTERN CAPEThe Department of Water and Sanitation appointed M Masase Trading with Be-Sure Events Solutions service providers for the launch of the Swellendam Waste Water Treatment Works in the Western Cape which took place in July 2016. We had the overall responsibility for the event especially Infrastructure, Logistics, Event Management and Catering of 5,000 people. We were also required to provide Public Liability cover for the event in case of any eventuality. Included in what we were responsible for are Marquees, Furnishing & Linen, Refreshments, Lighting, Flooring, Stages, Décor, Cleaning, Security, Marshalls, Entertainment, Branding and Advertising. The Catering of 5,000 people was made up of majority community members and at least 300 are VIPs.

MERCEDES BENz FASHION WEEk: DAVID TLALEBe-Sure Events was responsible for the setup, furnishing and décor for the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, David Tlale Fashion Show. The event was on the 12th of August 2016 and was attended by over 10,000 guests overall. Our infrastructure had to comply with all the municipal by-laws as the event was purely dependent on temporary structure in a prime location within the City of Johannesburg. We are proud to say that this is one of the international events had to execute and managed to impress many of the international guests from all over the globe.

GAUTENG DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATIONGauteng Department of Education held the official Opening of Nellmapius School on the 23rd September 2016 where MECs Jacob Mamabolo and Panyaza Lesufi were the main speakers. The two were handing over the school to the Nellmapius community and pleasded with them to look after this prestigious infrastructure for the sake of their own children. This was in conjunction with Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development. It was attended by 5,000 people. Be-Sure Events was appointed as the service provider for the provision of infrastructure such as Marquees, Sound & Stage, LED Screens, Generator, Lighting and Furniture. CITIES (THE CONVENTION ON INTERNATIONAL TRADE IN ENDANGERED SPECIESOF WILD FAUNA AND FLORA) COP 17 CONFERENCEBe-Sure Events was appointed to provide temporary infrastructure for the Street Party in Alice Lane for the Cities COP 17 Summit. The event was held in September 2016 where we provided marquee, flooring, carpet, décor and all necessary compliance certificates. The event was attended by a list of local and foreign ministers with Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane of DIRCO and Minister Edna Molewa of Environmental Affairs as the Hosts. It was hosted by South Africa to focus on Nature Conservation and to take decisions on what additional measures are needed to end the illicit wild trafficking amongst other things.

DIPLOMATIC FUN FAIRBe-Sure Events was not directly appointed by DIRCO for this event but was sub-contracted by NVT Events and Communication to provide marquees, infrastructure with flooring for exhibition stalls. These exhibition stalls were used by all embassies participating in the Diplomatic Fun Fair 2016, which were over 65 stalls in total. We also provided all the necessary compliance certificates to this international event attended by mostly ambassadors, embassy staff and international community in the main. The event went well from beginning to end with vast entertainment provided by various countries’ cultural groups.

RSA AND BOTSWANA DOT BRIDGE OPENINGThe Department of Transport in South Africa and the Department of Transport in Botswana held a joint ceremony to open a bridge at the Ramotswa Border Post on the 7th of November 2016. We provided Infrastructure, Marquees, Flooring, Carpet, Aircons, Sound, Stage, Furniture and Generator (for power supply). Our main client here was Nitrogen Advertising and Design and Sanral on behalf of the department. The event was a success and another international in character.
