It is hereby notified that on behalf of the Governor of Goa, public auction of the following 3 new fishing stake localities Will be held on 29- I 2-1998 from 10.30 a. m. to 11.00 a. m. in the premises of this Directorate.
i) New fishing stake locality "at Sarwan" in the creek of Mandovi River of two (2) inters paces applied by Shri Vinayak Datta Lamgaonkar, resident of Bhavkai Wada, Mayem, Bicholim-Goa. Expenses on advertisement before erection of stake is Rs. 558/- (Rupees five hundred fifty-eight only). Basic amount for bidding is Rs. 2001- (Rupees two hundred only) per interspace per annum.
ii) New fishing stake locality "at Tapan Temple" in Marcela Cumbarjua creek oftwo (2) interspaces applied by Shri Tukaram Tati Tari, Thapanwada, Cumbarjua, Tiswadi-Goa.
Expenses on advertisement before erection of stake IS
Rs. 728/- (Rupees seven hundred twenty eight only) Basic amount for bidding is Rs. 2001- (Rupees two hundred only) per interspace per annum.
iii) New fishing stake locality "at Amta" in the river Neura of onc (1) interspace applied by Shri Rajendra P. Phadte, H. No. 36, Dondebhat, Neura, Tiswadi-Goa. Expenses on advertisement before erection of stake is Rs. 3801- (Rupees three hundred eighty only). BasIc amount forbidding is Rs. 200/- (Rupees two hundred only) per interspace per annum.
The auction will be carried out according to the Goa, Daman Diu Fisheries Rules, 1981 and Goa Fisheries (Amendment) Rules, 1993. The auction shall be further subject to the following tenns and conditions:
I. The auction shall be for the lease of fishing stake.
2. The period of lease shall be as follows:
a) Fishing stake at Sf. No. (i) is for one year 3 months and 7 days from 1-1-1999 to 7-4-2000.
b) Fishing stake at Sr. No. (ii) is for two years and one day from 1-1-1999 to 2-1-2001.

8.11 the dues. The decision of the Director in thi:; behalf shall be final.
4. The ~idder shall have to deposit a sum of Rs. 20001- (Rupees two thousand only) prior to start of the auction. The amount thus deposited will be refunded to all other than the succcss:'ul bidder.
5. The successful bidder shall depoist 1I3rd amount of the highest
-bid on Lhe spot. This amount shall be treated as first instalment. The
subsequent instalments, if any, shall be paid in accordance to the provisions
of the Goa. Daman and Diu Fisheries Rules, 1981.
6. In case thc highest bidder fails to deposit Il3rd amount of the
highest bid on the spot the auction deposit will be forfeited to the
Government.
7. The successful bidder shall also deposit :2/3rd of the amount
of [he bid as security and execute a deed of lease in respect of the
fishing stake bidded by him within a period of 30 days from the date
of auction failing which the Director may cancel the lease offered
to him and amount of Rs. 20001- will be forfeited to the Government
and stake shall be put to fresh auction.
K. In case the highest bidder is other than the one who hd applied
for grant of permisSion for erecting new fishing stake he shall give
an undertaking to the Director to tile effect that he shall erect the
stake poles in accordance with the terms and conditions laid down
by the Captain of Ports at the time of granting 'No Objection
Certificate' for erecting the stake poles and other such conditions, jf
any, laid down by the Director of Fisheries 0; Captain of Ports
from time to time. These conditions are applicable to the stakes at
Sr. No. (i) to (iii) above.
Y. Tile amount of Rs. 20001- (Rupees two thousand only) deposited
prior to start of auction and 2!3rd Security deposit, will be refunded
to the Jessee after expiry of the lease period.
10. The Director of Fisheries reserves the right to cancel or withhold
the auction of any fising stake locality without assigning any reason
