Introduction new team members

Sunday 9 September 2012

Like in the past, Regeneracing will give a few students the opportunity to make a master thesis for our team. They will take a great responsibility in our new project and they’ll have to proof, theoretical and practical, that they are good engineers. The motivated students will complete this task under the supervision of old team members but also of partners in our project.

Our student team will exist of five master students industrial engineering. Four of them come from Karel-de-Grote College in Antwerp and one student comes from Group T in Leuven.

We’ve been working behind the scenes on our new project for a while. Very soon we will introduce this project in detail in the next edition of our newsletter but we can already say it will be an unseen undertaking! The team and our vehicles

Status ZERT 002

Wednesday 19 September 2012

Our team has had many different technical difficulties which led to a major delay in the debugging process of our ZERT 002, our latest hydrogen superkart. The good news is that we’re finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel, thanks to Laurens and Nicolas who’ve spent many hours debugging and testing.

Up to this moment we’ve had our first rolling tests and development and fine tuning is steadily being completed. We’re still looking for the right set-up to make our superkart as fast and energy efficient as possible.

We’ll do everything in our power to make it race proof on short notice. We hope to invite you as soon as possible on the official roll-out of our ZERT 002!

iMove kick-off event

Friday 22 June 2012

The iMove kick-off event was organized on Friday 22nd of June at Umicore in Olen. iMove is a pilot project for innovation in electric mobility and is managed by 18 Flemish companies and research institutions. Umicore, one of our main sponsors, plays a key role in this story. They endeavor a breakthrough in electric and sustainable mobility.

The project will give many different people a chance to use electric cars and charging stations provided by the consortium during a timeline of three years. They hope to contribute to the development of electric cars and charging infrastructure by giving feedback to the manufacturers.

Regeneracing was invited by Umicore to present our team to the visitors. For us it was the perfect opportunity to introduce our new pure electric kart ZERT 003. We also had the chance to do some test runs on the outstretched terrain of Umicore. This e-kart is a pretty simple and straight forward built up kart. The purpose of the kart is to be a test platform for in example testing new motors or battery cells. This vehicle is also appropriate for test drives by sponsors and other people.

iMove kick-off event

The interest of the visitors was high and many people were astonished by the acceleration and performance of our karts. Flemish minister of innovation, Ingrid Lieten, was also visiting our team and she was fascinated by our team's goals. She was interested in our vehicles and very impressed by the fact that we’re voluntary working with these new technologies.

“Open Bedrijvendag” Hydrogenics

Sunday 7 October 2012

On Sunday 7 October will “Open Bedrijvendag” take place. It is an annual event in Flanders where companies open their doors for everybody who is interested to see what goes on behind the scenes of these firms. Hundreds of Flemish companies participate in this event and so will Hydrogenics.

Our team will be present in their base in Oevel to show the connection between Hydrogenics, Waterstofnet and Regeneracing. We hope that many people will come to Oevel and take the chance to visit this company and to meet our team. See you on 7 October!

New sponsor

Friday 21 September 2012

Recently we have gained a new partnership and we’re honoured to introduce our new sponsor.

SolarcompanySolarcompany is born out of a passion for solar energy. A passion that started long before global warming and other environmental issues were hot topics. Quickly the company expanded operations into many other sustainable aspects of living. For example energy efficient heating and ventilation but also all kind of energy efficient technologies for other purposes.

Solarcompany is an ideal partner for us because of its sustainable and energy efficient vision. We’re more than happy to add them to our list of sponsors and hereby we want to thank them again for their participation in our team!
