Christian David-Griffiths (UK)RBS London - MA Graduate 2004
Christian David-Griffiths followed RBSLondon’s Masters programme. He isfrom the UK, but has spent much of hislife living abroad, attending a number ofinternational schools. He joined RBSLondon as an undergraduate student in1998, with A Levels in Business, Designand Computer Science and graduatedin 2000 with a BA (Hons) InternationalBusiness. Upon graduating, Christian
enrolled on a graduate training pro-gramme with The Institution ofMechanical Engineers.
“RBS London sets the internationaldimensions required to succeed inglobal business. It’s like a global village, with a family atmosphere, encouragingcross-cultural awareness. The Schoolputs great emphasis on experientiallearning that prepares you for employ-ment. I found this put me at an advan-
tage when applying for jobs, comparedto candidates from other institutions.
I was attracted to come back to RBSLondon to do a Masters for a numberof reasons - the specialisation of thecourse in entrepreneurship and theopportunity to top-up my programmewith a Webster University MBA.
This Masters programme has beenboth challenging and fun - and I haveenjoyed a number of additional activi-ties outside the curriculum. In our 1stsemester, a group of us entered the
Universities Business Challenge, spon-sored by IBM. This was an outstandingexperience, combining the pressure ofworking under time constraints whileharnessing the strengths of all theteam-members to make an efficientgroup. It is an excellent addition to myCV and has been a useful talking pointat interviews.”
Christian’s career preferences are con-sultancy or marketing, with particular
emphasis towards e-commerce.

One thing that stands out is theintegrity of the simulation in whichteams compete for market share, profitability, share price and customersatisfaction. This makes the competitionincredibly real and challenging. It will beexcellent on the CV, make a usefultalking point at interviews, and I willremember it for many years to come. Not bad to come 2nd out of 139university teams. Just beaten by ImperialCollege London!”
