Regional Transit Study
October 1 - November 22, 2019
UPCOMING ACTIVITIES
BackgroundThe Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) is developing a Regional Transit Study (RTS) to including Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, and Hays counties as well as portions of Travis and Williamson counties.
The CAMPO Regional Transit Study will examine transit needs in the six-county region, excluding the Capital Metro service area, and provide guidance to transit providers and local governments about how to meet future transit needs.
Working with Local and Regional PartnersCAMPO works closely with local and regional partners, including transit service providers and local government project sponsors, throughout planning process to understand existing transit plans and identify current and future needs.
The Regional Transit Study focuses on long-term transit connections for rural and suburban areas of the CAMPO region. This study, along with Capital Metro’s Project Connect, work together with the goal of providing a seamless, regional network of transit options and connections in the six-county CAMPO area. The study does not preclude current or future planning initiatives - such as Project Connect - or services oered by Capital Metro within their service area.
Share Your InputCAMPO wants to hear from you about current transit options and future priorities. Participate in an in-person or virtual open house and share your thoughts and comments.
