The camp has been modified to comply with and

follow the guidelines for operating set out by the

Provincial Health Officer and the British Columbia

Recreation and Parks Association.

Changes include:

Location - To follow physical distancing measures the Cactus

Kids Day Camp will be held at the Sonora Community Centre

with most activities occurring outside!

Increased cleaning/disinfecting protocols

Daily screenings

Shortened camp time

Decreased number of campers

No daily registrants or drop-ins

permitted

Week 1 - July 6 - July 10 Come get your feet wet with the Cactus Kids crew! Join us for a super awesome

wacky, wet, and wild week. Get to know your Cactus Kids leaders while cooling

off with a fun water themed week. Exciting activities include slip n’ slide, and

visits to the splash park and beach!

Week 2 - July 13 - July 17 Thanos, Darth Vader, and the Joker don’t stand a chance when it comes to

Cactus Kids Day Camp. Come help save the day with your fellow campers and

the Super Seven Summer Camp Staff! This week will be filled with epic activities

and endless super-themed fun. Get ready to meet the real superheroes of

Osoyoos with visits to our local every save the day-ers!

Week 3 - July 20 - July 24 A long time ago on a galaxy far, far away, there was a center filled with the

bravest, smartest and youngest astronauts, ready for their intergalactic

adventures. This week we will learn about the planets and even test out our own

rocket ships. Of course no visit to outer space would be complete without

bringing back a souvenir, so get ready to slime it up!

Week 4 - July 27 - July 31 If you can dream it, you can build it! This week we will build anything and every

using whatever we can find! From Lego to sand castles, straws to cups - are you

ready for the challenge?

Week 5 - August 4 - August 7

(no camp BC Day August 3)

We don't know about Mona Lisa, but we’re sure the Cactus Kids will be all smiles

this week! We’re going to Van-Goh a little crazy with our art projects this week

and let our inner creativity shine. We’ll also be planning a Camp’s Got Talent

show for the performers in our crew.

Week 6 - August 10 - August 14 Once upon a time there was a camp filled with happy kids and friendly leaders.

They had the best summer ever, and lived happily ever after. Don’t worry! The

story doesn't’ stop there. This week we’ll be creating, acting and playing out our

own favorite stories. We’ll even be incorporating some of our favorite stories into

camp by growing our own beanstalks and mixing our own potions!

Week 7 - August 17 - August 21 Get ready to carry the torch as the Cactus Kids enter the summer stage and strut

their stuff. This week is sure to be full of high-energy sporting activity and lots of

laughter.

Week 8 - August 24 - August 28 Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime as Cactus Kids Day Camp takes on the

Amazing Race. On this journey around the world there will be fun challenges,

daunting tasks, and exciting prizes! We will try out games and crafts from around

the world! On Friday get ready for an adventure around the world with your fellow

campers in the BIGGEST Amazing Race Challenge yet!
