OVERVIEW
2016 BASEBALL WINTER MEETINGSThe 2016 Baseball Winter Meetings will take place in National Harbor, Maryland, Dec. 4 – 8, at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. SPECIAL EVENTS
MOVING DIVERSITY FORWARDHear from experts in the field of diversity and inclusion as well as executives in the baseball industry who have found success establishing diverse practices within their respective organizations and communities. The primary focus is providing the business case for diversity and exploring strategies clubs can employ to promote diversity within the industry. ONLY Minor League Baseball and Major League Baseball club personnel are eligible to attend.
For more information about the event, contact Vincent Pierson at [email protected] or 727-456-1704.
BANQUET Presented by New Era Cap Co., this annual event features the presentation of some of baseball’s most prestigious awards, including the King of Baseball, John H. Johnson President’s Award, Larry MacPhail Award, Warren Giles Award, Sheldon “Chief” Bender Award, Mike Coolbaugh Award and John Henry Moss Community Service Award. An addition to this year’s list of awards includes the newly-created Charles K. Murphy Patriot Award, which recognizes an individual or club for its outstanding support of military branches and level of engagement with veterans.
For more information on these awards, visit BaseballWinterMeetings.com.
PBEO JOB FAIRThe 23rd annual PBEO Job Fair will give individuals seeking employment in the baseball industry the opportunity to meet face-to-face with club executives and interview on-site for a variety of available positions. Job fair attendees can search jobs ranging from internships to full-time positions, then apply, interview and receive offers at the Baseball Winter Meetings. With December marking the height of the baseball hiring season, an average of 400 – 500 jobs are posted each year for between 450 – 550 job seekers.
For more information about PBEO and the Job Fair, visit PBEO.com.
BOB FREITAS BUSINESS SEMINAR & WORKSHOP SERIESA staple of the Baseball Winter Meetings for more than two decades, the Bob Freitas Business Seminar continues its tradition of delivering insightful speakers and attention-grabbing topics to attendees. Updated Freitas tracks for 2016 include Sales & Marketing, Digital Media, Licensing & Merchandising, Communications and Fielder’s Choice. Organizations can benefit from the information offered by a diverse list of presenters. Morning breakout sessions, featuring presenters from the baseball world and beyond, provide valuable insight into the sports industry and its best practices.
Monday afternoon features the Bob Freitas Workshop Series, which consists of group discussions in small rooms for improved communication. A moderator will present a topic and then allow those in attendance to share their experiences and ideas with the group, allowing for closer interaction among attendees in a quieter, smaller location.

BASEBALL TRADE SHOW
BASEBALL TRADE SHOWLOCATIONGaylord National Resort & Convention CenterPrince George’s Exhibit Halls B – D
SCHEDULEMonday, December 5Opening Night at the Baseball Trade Show 5 – 8 p.m.
Tuesday, December 610 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Wednesday, December 710 a.m. – 4 p.m. (Job Seekers will not be allowed access from 1 – 4 p.m.)
From owners and general managers, to stadium operations and merchandise managers, a wide range of buyers will be in attendance from both Minor League Baseball and Major League Baseball. This annual gathering gives you the opportunity to check out the latest baseball products available on the market and make purchases for equipment, player apparel, retail merchandise, promotional items and services.
Spanning three days, the Baseball Trade Show is a catalyst for companies looking to interact with and achieve valuable face-to-face time with professional baseball executives. More than 250 exhibitors will utilize over 100,000 square feet of exhibitor space at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center.
Exhibiting companies include manufacturers and distributors of apparel, caps, gift items, souvenirs, promotional products, stadium equipment, food and beverage products, player equipment and on-field supplies, as well as service companies, including insurance, architecture, concessions, printing, marketing, Internet, entertainment and many more.
While on-site, make sure to pick up a complimentary Baseball Trade Show Buyer’s Guide to help you navigate your way through the exhibits on the trade show floor, and stop by the Social Media Lounge to complete an attendee survey or snap a picture of your new baseball card.
For complete information on the Baseball Trade Show including a list of exhibitors and accompanying booth numbers, visit BaseballTradeShow.com. The Baseball Trade Show can be reached at [email protected] or 727-456-1706.

PBEO JOB FAIR
PBEO JOB FAIROVERVIEWThe PBEO Job Fair gives clubs the opportunity to post available positions, conduct interviews and hire qualified candidates through its streamlined and simple hiring process. Clubs can post jobs at the Job Fair free of charge and do so in advance of the Baseball Winter Meetings at PBEO.com, or by filling out the Job Fair Form on the following page and sending it in, on or before 5 p.m. ET on Nov. 11, 2016. Job seekers can search jobs ranging from internships to full-time positions, then apply, interview and even receive offers during the Baseball Winter Meetings and PBEO Job Fair.
With December marking the height of the baseball hiring season, this is an ideal way for clubs to fill out their staffing needs. Approximately 400 – 500 jobs are posted each year for between 450 – 550 job seekers. Don’t miss out on the chance to find your next employee from a pool of available candidates.
