Course Requests
How to earn 240 credits:
5 credits are earned for each course passed60% or a D- is required to pass the class
70% or a C- is required to meet college entrance requirements and to meet pre-requisites for higher level classes
A Full-time student takes 4 classes per trimester:
12 courses per year (4 per trimester) will keep a student on track for graduation: • 60 credits x 4 years = 12 courses/years = 240 credits
• Use the GHS 4 year plan to track completion of required courses and electives

Physical Education (2 trimesters)P.E. 2A 2BStudents must pass the State PE fitness exam. If not, they will continue taking

Students participating in CIF Interscholastic Sports may be exempt from 1 trimester of sophomore PE per sport if they meet exemption requirements.
Those requirements include all of the following: 1. Have satisfactorily passed the PE fitness exam2. Completed PE 1 A/B with a grade of “B” or better3. Have an overall GPA 2.0 or higher in the previous 3 trimesters 4. Enrolled as a full-time student 5. Must submit a completed contract within 2 weeks of the start of the sport

NOTE: Any alternates chosen may be filled in your schedule if there are difficulties getting your main choices. So select accordingly.
NOTE: Both parts of A/B courses must be completed in a school year. You may not drop portion B of a course. 21
