Regular Comparatives in adjectives
Comparatives are used to compare people, places, things or actions.
“He's taller than them”
“They are shorter than him”
It always goes “than” after the comparative:
RULES
RULE 1. One syllable adjectives add -ER.
“Travelling by bus is cheaper than travelling by plane”

RULE 2.
If the adjective finishes in a consonant+vowel +
consonant, double final consonant+ -ER
“Australia is bigger than Europe”

One or Two-syllable adj. ending in consonant+“y”=i
“Eating fruit is healthier than eating meat”

2 Syllable adjectives not ending in -y use “more”.

-After comparative+than or as.....as we use an object
pronoun (me, her,him,etc) or a subject pronoun+auxiliary
verb.
Eg.
”My brother's taller than me”
My brother's taller than I am”
“He's not as intelligent as her”
“He's not as intelligent as she is”
