AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT TO SUPERIOR AUTO REPAIR FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF VEHICLES FOR THE WANAQUE POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR A MONTHLY AMOUNT OF $1,529.00 WHEREAS, the Borough of Wanaque advertised for and received proposals for the maintenance and repair of vehicles for the Wanaque Police Department on December 22, 2020, and; WHEREAS, the Borough of Wanaque received proposals from (2) proposers, and; WHEREAS, Superior Auto Repair, 400 Union Avenue, Haskell, New Jersey 07420 submitted a conforming proposal to provide services for a monthly amount of $1,529.00 and; WHEREAS, this matter was evaluated and reviewed by the Borough Administrator and Police Chief, and; WHEREAS, the term of the agreement will be for one year beginning on January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021 with the option to renew the contract for (2) one year periods or (one) two year period. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Borough Council of the Borough of Wanaque, New Jersey does hereby authorize the award of a contract for the maintenance and repair of vehicles for the Wanaque Police Department to Superior Auto Repair, 400 Union Avenue, Haskell, New Jersey 07420 for the monthly amount of $1,529.00 and; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Borough Administrator is hereby authorized to execute a contract for said services.
