    THE 13th WORLD WUSHU CHAMPIONSHIPS

    REGULATIONS The World Wushu Championships (WWC) is the official world championship hosted by the International Wushu

    Federation (IWUF). This Championships takes place biennially and features its highest competitive level within the

    sport. This year, the Indonesia Wushu Association will organize the 13th WWC under the auspices of the IWUF.

    A. DATE AND PLACE The 13th WWC will be held from November 11th to 18th, 2015 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

    B. VENUES 1. Competition Venue: Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Indonesia.

    2. Training Venue: Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Indonesia.

    C. COMPETITION EVENTS 1. Taolu Events:

    Changquan; Nanquan; Taijiquan; Daoshu; Jianshu; Gunshu; Qiangshu; Nangun; Nandao; Taijijian;

    Xingyiquan; Baguazhang; Shuangjian; Chunqiu Dadao; Duilian.

    2. Sanda Events:

    Men's: 48kg; 52kg; 56kg; 60kg; 65kg; 70kg; 75kg; 80kg; 85kg; 90kg; 90kg+

    Women's: 48kg; 52kg; 56kg; 60kg; 65kg; 70kg; 75kg

    D. QUALIFICATIONS 1. All official & provisional IWUF Member Federations/Associations are qualified to participate in the

    Championships. 2. Only those Federations/Associations which have paid their IWUF annual membership fees for 2014 and

    2015 will be permitted to participate in the Championships. 3. New IWUF member federations may be invited to take part in the Championships after their

    applications have been accepted by the IWUF.

    E. ENTRIES 1. Preliminary Entries

    The Preliminary Entry Forms must state the exact number of competitors taking part in the events. The

    Preliminary Entry Forms must reach the Organizing Committee and the IWUF Secretariat no later than

    24:00 (Jakarta Time) September 10th, 2015. These must be sent by email and post to the below

    2. Final Entry:

    All final entries must be submitted through the IWUF Online Registration System. All sections of the

    online entry must be completed in full, including the section for registration of athletes’ movements

    with degree of difficulty in the relevant online section for those athletes competing in Degree of

    Difficulty Taolu events. The deadline for the final entry to be completed through the online system is

    24:00 (Jakarta Time) on October 10th, 2015. Each team is required to print a copy of the submitted

    entry and present it upon arrival and registration in Indonesia.

    4. Late entries are subject to the approval of the IWUF and if accepted are subject to a late-entry fee of

    US$100 per participant.

    F. ARRIVAL & REGISTRATION

    1. All participating teams are required to arrive at the designated registration booth and register with the

    13th WWC Organizing Committee no later than 24:00 (Jakarta Time) on November 12th, 2015.

    2. Upon arrival, all teams are required to:

    i) Pay the relevant participation fees in full.

    ii) Confirm their Registration Form for Movements with Degree of Difficulty of Optional Routines.

    3. All judges are required to arrive and register at the designated registration booth on November 11th,

    2015.

    G. TECHNICAL OFFICIALS Each participating Taolu Team may submit one IWUF Certified Taolu Judge who is holding a valid certificate

    at the time of competition. Each participating Sanda Team may submit one IWUF Certified Taolu Judge who

    is holding a valid certificate at the time of competition. All International Judges must present their valid

    certificates issued by IWUF to the Organizing Committee upon registration. Judges must have participated in

    and passed the examination of the 2012 or 2014 IWUF International Judges Examination Course in order to

    qualify to judge at the 13th WWC.

    H. TECHNICAL MEETING The Technical Meeting for team managers and coaches will take place at 14:00 (Jakarta Time) on November

    13th, 2015 during which all matters related to the competition will be announced. Each team should send two

    representatives for taolu and two representatives for sanda to attend this meeting.

    I. DRAWING-LOTS CEREMONY The drawing-lots of the 13th WWC will be conducted by the IWUF Technical Committee at 16:00 (Jakarta Time)

    on November 13th, 2015. Each team may send two taolu and two sanda representatives to attend the

    ceremony. The IWUF Technical Committee will draw on behalf of the teams that are unable to send a

    representative to attend.

    J. WEIGHING-IN 1. The initial weighing-in for sanda athletes will take place at 07:00 (Jakarta Time) on November 13th, 2015.

    2. The weighing-in will be conducted on daily basis. The venue for weighing-in will be circulated by the

    Organizing Committee in due course.

    K. PLACING & AWARDS

    1. Taolu: - 1st place Gold Medal & Certificate - 2nd place Silver Medal & Certificate - 3rd place Bronze Medal & Certificate - 4th - 8th place Certificate

    2. Sanda: - 1st place Gold Medal & Certificate - 2nd place Silver Medal & Certificate - 3rd place (juxtaposition) Bronze Medal & Certificate

    L. FINANCIAL CONDITIONS 1. Athletes, Team Officials, Observers & Judges

    The international airfare and related travel expenses, as well as accommodation/participation fees shall

    be borne by the teams themselves. The accommodation/participation fees are as follows:

    - Athletes and Team Officials:

    US$ 90 per person per day (double room) – 3 Star Hotel

    US$ 105 per person per day (single room) – 3 Star Hotel

    US$ 100 per person per day (double room) – 4 Star Hotel

    US$ 130 per person per day (single room) – 4 Star Hotel

    US$ 110 per person per day (double room) – 5 Star Hotel

    - Observers:

    US$ 100 per person per day (double room) – 3 Star Hotel

    US$ 115 per person per day (single room) – 3 Star Hotel

    US$ 140 per person per day (single room) – 4 Star Hotel

    US$ 120 per person per day (double room) – 5 Star Hotel

    - Judges:

    The international airfare and related travel expenses, as well as accommodation/participation fees

    of team judges shall be borne by the judges themselves.

    US$ 100 per person per day (double room)

    US$ 140 per person per day (single room)

    - The above fees include meals, accommodation and pick-up/drop-off from and to the airport. The

    participating teams shall pay their full participation fee to the Organizing Committee of the

    13thWWC upon arrival & registration.

    2. The Organizing Committee will arrange the accommodation and transportation for participating teams

    from 9:00 November 11th, 2015 to 24:00 November 19th, 2015 (Jakarta Time). If any teams arriving

    earlier or departing later than the required date, they should inform the Organizing Committee to

    arrange their accommodation arrangements before September 10, 2015.

    3. The IWUF and Organizing Committee request that all participating teams lodge at the designated hotels

    arranged by the Organizing Committee. Those teams who wish to stay at another hotel/location, due to

    special requirements, must first receive approval from the Organizing Committee in order to do so. In

    such cases, each person is required to pay a participation fee of US$200 person. These participants are

    responsible for their local transportation to the competition venue and all other aspect of their

    accommodation at their own expense and shall accept responsibility for consequences arising as a

    result of this.

    4. Payment Methods

    Participating teams are requested to pay the relevant participation fees by international bank transfer

    simultaneously with their final entry submission, proof of which should be sent to the organizing

    committee by email and brought along to Jakarta by the team leader. Teams that are unable to pay by

    international bank transfer must pay their relevant participation fees in total to the organizing

    committee upon arrival in Jakarta.

    M. DOPING CONTROL Doping control will be conducted during the 13th World Wushu Championships according to the

    requirements of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) , and will follow the procedure prescribed in the

    World Anti-Doping Code (2015, hereafter ‘Code’) and the IWUF Anti-Doping Rules (2015, hereafter ‘Rules).

    Please take note of details pertaining to article 9 and article 10 below:

    ARTICLE 9 AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION OF INDIVIDUAL RESULTS: "Violations to the Code and/or the

    Rules in Individual Sports in connection with an In-Competition test automatically leads to

    Disqualification of the result obtained in that Competition with all resulting Consequences, including

    forfeiture of any medals, points and prizes."

    ARTICLE 10 SANCTIONS ON INDIVIDUALS: The athlete will be subject to a period of ineligibility.

    N. OTHER MATTERS Each team is required to bring the following:

    1. 3 x National flags, regional flags or federation flags (1m×2m);

    2. Their national anthem or federation song on CD;

    3. 3 x Colour photos (passport size) per team member;

    4. Printed and stamped Final Entry Form;

    5. Valid Health Certificates of all athletes and Life Accidental Injury Insurance Certificate (country or

    region);

    6. Completed and signed 13th WWC “Waiver of Liabilities” for each participant.

    NOTE: Some of the above items will be required to be submitted online digitally prior to arrival. Information

    regarding this will be circulated in due course.

    TAOLU COMPETITION A. COMPETITION EVENTS

    1. Optional Bare-hand Routines: Changquan, Nanquan, Taijiquan.

    2. Compulsory Bare-Hand Routines: Changquan, Nanquan, Taijiquan (3rd Set of International Compulsory

    Routines).

    3. Traditional Bare-Hand Routine: Men's Xingyiquan, Women's Baguazhang.

    4. Optional Short Weapon Routine: Daoshu, Jianshu, Nandao, Taijijian.

    5. Optional Long Weapon Routine: Gunshu, Qiangshu, Nangun.

    6. Traditional Weapon Routine: Men's Chunqiu Dadao (Guan Dao), Women's Shuangjian (Double Straight

    Sword).

    7. Duel Events: 2 - 3 athletes, men and women cannot be mixed.

    B. PARTICIPATION METHODS 1. Each country or region may enter one (1) team.

    2. Each team shall be composed of maximum twelve (12) members, including one (1) team leader, two (2)

    coaches, one (1) doctor, and eight (8) competitors (including men & women).

    3. Each competitor may enter a maximum four (4) Taolu Competition Events

    - One (1) Optional Bare-Hand Routine or one (1) Compulsory Bare-Hand Routine;

    - Two (2) routines from the following:

    Optional Short Weapon Routine: Daoshu, Jianshu, Nandao, Taijijian;

    Optional Long Weapon Routine: Gunshu, Qiangshu, Nangun;

    Traditional Routine: Xingyiquan, Baguazhang, Dadao (Guan Dao), Shuangjian

    - Male competitors may only compete in Xingyiquan for Traditional Bare-Hand Routine and Dadao

    (Guan Dao) for Traditional Weapon Routine;

    - Female competitors may only compete in Baguazhang for Traditional Bare-Hand Routine and

    Shuangjian (Double Straight Sword) for Traditional Weapon Routine;

    - Duel Events: Each team may at most enter one of the dual events (either men’s or women’s).

    4. The Registration of Degree of Difficulty for Optional Routines shall be submitted before 24:00 (Jakarta

    Time) on October 10th, 2015 through the online registration system when submitting the full entry for a

    team.

    5. Each competitor should bring along with them a valid Health Certificate (including electrocardiogram,

    pulse and blood pressure) issued within 30 days prior to the star of the competition signed by a qualified

    doctor and a Life Accidental Injury Insurance Certificate. All competitors are required to submit a

    completed and signed waiver of liabilities form.

    C. COMPETITION METHODS 1. Competition includes individual competition only.

    2. Unless otherwise states within these regulations, the competition will be conducted in accordance with

    the “IWUF Rules for International Wushu Taolu Competition”.

    3. Long weapon routines of optional events such as Gunshu, Qiangshu and Nangun will implement the

    “Scoring Method and Criteria for Degree of Difficulty of Movements of Optional Routines”.

    4. Optional and Compulsory Events: These divisions will implement the “Scoring Method and Criteria for

    Degree of Difficulty of Movements of Optional Routines”.

    - Optional Events: Athletes may choose to register and perform grade A and/or grade B degree of

    difficulty techniques within their routines. If they choose to register and perform grade C degree

    of difficulty techniques, the value awarded for these will be those of degree of difficulty

    techniques of grade B.

    - Optional Events: Within a single routine, an athlete may register and perform a degree of

    difficulty jumping technique of the same grade at most two (2) times, however in such cases the

    degree of difficulty connection technique for these jumps may not be repeated. (e.g. within a

    single optional routine an athlete may register and perform XuànFēngJiǎo360° (Tornado Kick

    360°) at most two (2) times, but the degree of difficulty connection technique for these may not

    be the same, they should be two (2) different connection techniques.

    5. All athletes are required to execute their optional routine’s relevant compulsory/mandatory techniques

    as stipulated in the rules. Failure to do so will result in deductions as stated in the rules.

    6. For Traditional Bare-Hand Routines, Traditional Weapon Routines and Duel Events “Scoring Method and

    Criteria for Non-Degree of Difficulty of Movements” will be implemented.

    7. For Traditional Bare-Hand Routines (Xingyiquan & Baguazhang) and Traditional Weapon Routines

    (Chunqiu Dadao & Shuangjian), the following will be implemented:

    - The total routine duration must be between one (1) minute (including one minute) and two (2)

    minutes (including two minutes).

    - The traditional practice methods of different regions, different clans and stylistic differences

    between generations of traditional Xingyiquan, Baguazhang, Chunqiu Dadao and Shuangjian

    may all be employed within these competition events respectively. For example: Xingyiquan’s

    Wuxing Quan (Five Elements Fists), Shi Er Xing Quan (12 Animal Forms), Xingyi Lianhuan Quan

    (Xingyi’s Linking Forms); Baguazhang’s Laoba Zhang (8 Old Palms), Lianhuan Zhang (Linking

    Palms); to northern Chunqiu Dadao methods, southern Chunqiu Dadao methods; traditional

    Shuangjian methods etc. may all be employed respectively.

    - During the course of 2015, the IWUF will hold numerous coaches training courses at which

    experts on these traditional styles will teach methods and routines that are applicable to these

    newly established traditional event divisions.

    - At the end of March, 2015 example videos will be posted on the IWUF website (www.iwuf.org)

    displaying suitable routines and methods that may be employed in competition for your

    reference.

    8. Accompanying music is required for Taijiquan and Taijijian routines. A 0.2 point deduction will apply if

    there is no accompanying music. Music with vocals and lyrics is not permitted.

    9. The power of interpretation of the Rules rests solely with the IWUF. In the event of discrepancies in the

    interpretation of the Rules, the Chinese Text shall prevail.

    D. COSTUMES & EQUIPMENT

    1. Competitors shall wear wushu competition costumes in compliance with the rules during all events. This

    must be brought & prepared by the competitors themselves.

    2. All weaponry must conform to the requirements as stipulated in the rules. This must be provided by the

    competitors themselves.

    3. Due to the size of the Chunqiu Dadao and difficulty with its transportation on airlines etc., athletes are

    permitted to provide their own. Should athletes be unable to provide their own Chunqiu Dadao, the

    organizing committee will have these available for athletes to use during competition.

    E. PLACING & AWARDS Awarding for Men’s and Women’s Taolu events will be respectively as follows:

    1. 1st - 8th place: If the number of competitors is 10 and above in a single division.

    2. 1st - 3rd place: If the number of competitors is between 6 & 9 in a single division.

    3. 1st - 2nd place: If the number of competitors is between 3 & 5 in a single division.

    4. No placing or awards will be bestowed if the number of competitors in a single events comprises of 2

    (two) or less competitors.

    B. PARTICIPATION METHODS 1. Each country or region may enter one (1) team.

    2. Each team shall be composed of a maximum of twelve (12) members, including one (1) team leader, two

    (2) coaches, one (1) team doctor, and eight (8) competitors (5 men & 3 women).

    3. Each team may enter only one (1) athlete per weight category.

    4. Only competitors between 18 and 35 full years of age, born between 01/01/1980 & 31/12/1997, will be

    accepted.

    5. Each competitor should bring along with them a valid Health Certificate (including

    electroencephalogram, electrocardiogram, pulse and blood pressure) issued within 30 days prior to the

    star of the competition signed by a qualified doctor and a Life Accidental Injury Insurance Certificate. All

    competitors are required to submit a completed and signed waiver of liabilities form.

    C. COMPETITION METHODS 1. The competition will be Individual Competition.

    2. The single knockout system will be adopted. If the number of competitors is three (3) or less, a single

    round – robin method will be adopted.

    3. Following arrival and registration, the athletes will go through the initial weighing in and drawing lots

    formalities as stipulated in the schedule. All Sanda athletes will be required to weigh-in daily during the

    competition. Details regarding this will be circulated at a later time once finalized.

    4. Unless otherwise states within these regulations, the competition will be conducted in accordance with

    the “IWUF Rules for International Wushu Sanda Competition”.

    5. The power of interpretation of the Rules rests solely with the IWUF. In the event of discrepancies in the

    interpretation of the Rules, the Chinese Text shall prevail.

    D. COSTUMES & EQUIPMENT 1. Each competitor is required to possess two (2) sets of competition costumes: one (1) set in black and one

    (1) set in red.

    2. Each competitor is required to possess their own mouth guard, jockstrap, and instep guard.

    3. Gloves and other protective equipment will be provided by the Organizing Committee.

    E. PLACING & AWARDS 1. The top three place athletes within each weight category will be receive a placing and award for both

    men and women.

    2. Third place athletes will be placed in juxtaposition.

    13th World Wushu Championships is hosted by International Wushu Federation (IWUF) and organized by Indonesia Wushu

    Organizing Committee accepting my application, I hereby assume all risk of physical and mental injuries, disabilities and losses which

    may result from or in connection with my participation in the 13th World Wushu Championships. Acting for myself, heirs, personal

    officers, agents, representatives and assignees, I do hereby release the Organizing Committee, its officers, agents, representatives,

    volunteers, judges and referees and other related members from all claims, actions, suits, and controversies at law or in equity by

    reason of any matter, cause or thing whatsoever that I may sustain as a result of or in connection with my participation in the 13th

    World Wushu Championships. I fully understand that all medical attention or treatment afforded to me by the Organizing Committee,

    its officers, medical personnel, representatives, volunteers, and all other related members will be of the first aid type only, and

    hereby release the Organizing Committee its officers, representatives, volunteers, and all other related members from any liability

    for such aid. I understand it is my obligation to obtain my own medical coverage.

    without limitation, for television, radio, video, theatrical medium picture, or any other medium by any devices now known or

    hereafter devised and I do hereby waive any compensation in regard there of as well as any future rights to the aforementioned.
