• When the wetness in a

steam turbine would be too

high at outlet, the steam is

extracted halfway the turbine

at a mid-pressure.

• At this pressure the

temperature of the steam is

strongly increased, and then

the steam can enter the

turbine again and further

expand, without danger for

too much condensate.
