SPEED is the ability of a disc to cut through theair. Discs with higher numbers are faster, butrequire more power to achieve their true potential.Typically, higher speed means moreupwind distance.
GLIDE measures the disc's ability to stay aloft atdifferent speeds. Typically, more glide means moredownwind distance. Newer players should lookfor discs with more glide. A disc rated 5 has themost glide.
TURN is the tendency of a disc to turn right (forRHBH* throwers) early in the flight. A disc rated0 is most resistant to turn. A disc rated-2 will turn the easiest and is more suitable fornewer players.
FADE. All discs tail off in the same direction (leftfor RHBH* shots), but some will “hook” harderthan others. A disc rated 0 is the straightestfinishing while a disc rated 4 will hook the most.
