Dear friends,

In March of this year, I went with

a group of pilgrims to Bogotá,

Colombia. The group traveled with the purpose of

visiting some old churches, sanctuaries, and places of

high cultural and religious significance in my country.

The experience was very positive, so much so, that we

have decided to do another Pilgrimage Tour to Bogota,

Colombia. The pilgrimage will be from March 29th to

April 4th, 2016. I invite you to come along with us to

learn about Bogotá and its surroundings. The beauty of

the city, as well as the richness of its culture and

religion, will be, without a doubt, a unique spiritual

experience for you.

The Catholic Church expresses its religiousness

according to where it is located. It incorporates a

location's own cultural identity such as songs, music,

devotions, and traditions. This pilgrimage is for you to

learn about the Catholic Church in Colombia, with its

particular religious expressions, captured in its old

churches, sanctuaries, and places.

A way to enrich our knowledge is to travel and

learn first hand about the language, gastronomy, and

culture of other towns. I invite you to add to your

calendar the "Pilgrimage Tour to Bogotá, Colombia"

and to be part of this privileged group that will have

the chance to learn about Bogotá and its surroundings.

For more information, feel free to call Ms. Julieta

Kalinowski at 972-439-5166 / 630-635-7771, or

contact [email protected] if you have any

questions or concerns. You can also visit the website

www.directotrip.com. It's a pleasure for me to go

along with you in this pilgrimage.

God bless you.

Rev. Johnson Lopez,

Pastor

to call the church office to get the code, so you can get

in during all night Adoration

Queridos amigos,

peregrinos a Bogotá, Colombia.

Colombia.

439-5166 / 630-635-7771 o escribir tus inquietudes y

preguntas a [email protected]. También puedes

visitar la página web www.directotrip.com. Es para mí

un gusto acompañarles en esta peregrinación.

Dios te bendiga.

To the St. Patrick Family:

Food for the Poor wishes to thank you for the welcome you extended to Monsignor McLoughlin on our recent visit to your parish.

On behalf of our less fortunate brothers and sisters of Latin America and the Caribbean, we thank you for having shared in their lives. They, and you, are blessed by your generosity.

DESAFIO A TU FE CATOLICA

Respuesta 1

(CIC146)

CATHOLIC FAITH CHALLENGE

Answer 1

C - We are a union of body and soul made in the

image of God. The catechism tells us that "…it is

a human body precisely because it is animated by

a spiritual soul, and it is the whole human person

that is intended to become, in the body of Christ, a

temple of the Spirit.” (CCC364)

Answer 2

D- “Man and woman were made "for each other" -

not that God left them half-made and incomplete:

he created them to be a communion of persons, in

which each can be "helpmate" to the other, for

they are equal as persons ("bone of my bones. . .")

and complementary as masculine and

feminine.” (CCC372)

Answer 3

A– Saint Paul tells us that “Abraham believed

God, and it was reckoned to him as

righteousness.” (CCC146)

No te olvides

de orar hoy,

porque Dios no

se olvidó de

despertarte

esta mañana.
