GENERAL MECHANICAL NOTES

7. TESTING, BALANCING AND ADJUSTING SHALL BE PERFORMED BY A NEBB OR AABCCERTIFIED TESTING, BALANCING, AND ADJUSTING COMPANY. SUBMIT COMPANYQUALIFICATIONS, INSTRUMENT CALIBRATION REPORTS AND SAMPLE FORMS FOR REVIEWPRIOR TO COMMENCING WORK. BALANCE THE SYSTEMS TO PROVIDE AIRFLOWS REQUIREDON THE DRAWINGS. PATCH HOLES IN INSULATION , DUCTWORK AND HOUSING, WHICH HAVE BEEN CUT ORDRILLED FOR TEST PURPOSES, IN A MANNER RECOMMENDED BY THE ORIGINAL INSTALLER.

MARK EQUIPMENT SETTINGS, INCLUDING MANUAL DAMPER CONTROL POSITIONS, ANDSIMILAR CONTROLS AND DEVICES, TO SHOW FINAL SETTINGS AT COMPLETION OF TABWORK. PROVIDE MARKING WITH PAINT OR OTHER SUITABLE PERMANENT IDENTIFICATIONMATERIALS.

DEMOLITION NOTES:

1. THE DRAWINGS SHOW THE GENERAL ARRANGEMENT AND LOCATIONS OF EXISTINGMECHANICAL WORK. FIRE PROTECTION NOTES:

1. MODIFY EXISTING SPRINKLER SYSTEM IN THE HATCHED AREAS TO PROVIDE COMPLETE PROTECTION FOR THE RENOVATED PORTIONS OF THE BUILDING.

2. IF THE SPRINKLER SYSTEM IS OUT OF SERVICE FOR MORE THAN FOUR HOURS IN A TWENTY FOUR HOUR PERIOD, THE AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION SHALL BE NOTIFIED. THE BUILDING SHALL BE EVACUATED OR AN APPROVED FIRE WATCH SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR ALL PARTIES LEFT UNPROTECTED BY THE SHUTDOWN UNTIL THE SPRINKLER SYSTEM HAS BEEN RETURNED TO SERVICE (NFPA 101 LIFE SAFETY CODE, SECTION 9.7.6.1).

3. RENOVATIONS OR ALTERATIONS TO AN EXISTING SPRINKLER SYSTEM NEED TO BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATE OF GEORGIA RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE SAFETY FIRE COMMISSIONER CHAPTER 120-3-3.

4. SPRINKLER CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE SHOP DRAWINGS WITH HYDRAULIC CALCULATIONS TO THE STATE FIRE MARSHALL'S OFFICE FOR REVIEW.

5. CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY IF CURRENT SPRINKLER HEAD PLACEMENT IS APPROPRIATE FOR NEW SPACE ENCLOSURE. MODIFY AS NEEDED TO PROVIDE COMPLETE COVERAGE AS REQUIRED BY NFPA STANDARDS.
