properly maintained.

Seams on food-contact surfaces are smooth and

Products from Remco and Vikan® should be regularly

maintained for long life and to comply with food safety

standards. In most applications, daily care and cleaning of

tools is recommended. To do so, follow these guidelines:

A thorough wet cleaning of tools is recommended

following use to produce reliable sanitary conditions.

Remove all visible dirt and clean the tools with an agent

deemed appropriate for your production environment.

Check with your chemical manufacturer for specifi c

recommendations on concentration, temperature, and

time when used in conjunction with cleaning tools. Tools

are not intended to remain in caustic baths or soaks for

extended periods of time. Tools should be rinsed with

clean water following cleaning.

If required or necessary, Remco and Vikan tools are

designed to be disinfected after washing. Check with

your chemical manufacturer for specifi c recommendations

on concentration, temperature, and time as well as the

need for rinsing disinfectant residue. Note: Remco and

Vikan products may be cleaned at temperatures up to

250˚ F/121˚ C if required.

In all cases, be sure to hang and dry tools properly before

storing or reintroducing into a controlled dry environment.
