MODEL “A”™ BACK-PRESSURE VALVEProduct No. 599-04
The Model “A” Back-Pressure Valve pro-vides a means of controlling back-flowwhen either running or pulling a run-in
string. Depending on the fluid in thewellbore, a fire and safety hazard is
eliminated. Its primary application is in conjunc-
tion with a full-bore retrievable cementer
and a Model “C” ™ or “H-1” ™ RetrievableBridge Plug or a Model “EA” ™
Retrievamatic Cementer and a Model“G” ™ Retrievable Bridge Plug, to control
backflow when moving from a treated
zone to straddle a new zone. The flapper valve can be locked in the
open position for swab or flow testing.
FEATURES/BENEFITS• Valve controls backflow when moving
from a treated zone to straddle a newzone
MODEL “E”™ TUBINGCONTROL VALVEProduct No. 672-34
The Model “E” Tubing Control Valve is afull-opening valve that can be used abovea Retrievamatic cementer to isolate a
zone from the tubing hydrostatic aftersqueeze cementing in a low-fluid-level
well. Valve opening is accomplishedwith right-hand rotation, with six andone-half turns at the tool, moving the
valve from fully closed to fully open posi-tion. Opening or closing can be repeated
as often as desired. The valve can also be used as a
control valve to prevent flowback while
running, moving or retrieving downholetools.
FEATURES/BENEFITS• Full-opening valve can be used to
isolate a zone from tubing hydrostatic
after squeeze cementing in a low-fluid-level well
MODEL “F”™ TEST ANDSTIMULATION VALVEProduct No. 714-02The Model “F” Test and Stimulation Valveis a rotationally actuated, quick-opening,
full-bore valve. It is used in conjunctionwith a Retrievamatic cementer, for the
purpose of creating sudden, high-veloc-ity flow from the formation through the
perforations into the tubing. Pluggedperforations are cleared, and blockingagents in the vicinity of the wellbore are
removed.
Also applicable in:
(1) dry testing of perforated intervals that
have been cemented off.(2) lowering injection pressures in water
injection wells by clearing blockedflow passages and perforations.
(3) removal of mud filtrate prior to an
acidizing job.(4) testing of a zone without swabbing
operations.
PRESSURE-ACTUATEDSTIMULATION VALVEProduct No. 714-10The Pressure-Actuated StimulationValve is a test and stimulation valve that
is actuated by pressure applied to theannulus. This feature makes it espe-
cially applicable to operations involvingdeep or deviated holes where rotation of
the tubing or drillpipe proves difficult. Itcan be used for any operation in whichthe Model “F” Test and Stimulation Valve
is used, provided it is possible to pres-sure the annulus. Tool actuation is ef-
fected by pressuring the annulus to 1000psi (70,31 kg/cm 2 ). It is the lower valve
in the Model “A” Dual Surge System(Product No. 714-09).

MODEL “D”™ SURGEVALVE SYSTEMProduct Nos. 714-04 & 714-03
The Model “D” Surge Valve System con-sists of the Model “D” Annulus ActivatedSurge Valve (Product No. 714-04) run asthe lower valve and the Model “D” Tub-ing Activated Surge Valve (Product No.714-03) run as the upper valve. Thevalves are run in the closed position withan atmospheric chamber between them. This arrangement is run on top of an “EA”Retrievamatic which is set above an in-terval of perforations. When the annulusis pressured, it actuates a cutter in the
lower valve that breaks a glass disk. Thepressure at the perforations is droppedto zero and the surge from the formationcleans out the debris. The surge issafely contained by the upper surge valve. After surging, the tubing can be pres-sured to actuate the cutter in the uppervalve that breaks a glass disk allowingthe tubing to be safely circulated.
FEATURES/BENEFITS• Surge safely contained in tubing• High pressure glass disk• No rotation required• Full opening

MODEL “B”™
RETRIEVAMATIC/HURRICANE PLUG
Product No. 407-09Designed for emergencies that force tem-porary well shutdowns, it seals off the
casing string while the drillpipe hangs offbottom. Saving installation time, the
entire drillstring need not be pulled toinstall the plug. The Hurricane Plugoffers a choice of three drillpipe plugging
systems, depending on the well configu-rations and weather conditions. A unique
sub equalizes any pressure buildup be-fore the plug is retrieved.
The Hurricane Plug is basically a
Retrievamatic cementer and can doubleas a squeeze tool or as a plug to isolate
the casing when changing wellheads. The tool sets with right-hand rotation,
using pipe weight for initial packoff.
Model “B” Retrievamatic/Hurricane Plug
Product No. 407-09
FEATURES/BENEFITS• Large bypass area permits circulation
around and through the tool while run-ning in — straight pick-up equalizespressure across hold-down buttons
instantly• Proven face-seal unloader controls the
bypass, eliminating the need for me-chanical locks and rotation — the by-
pass, running completely through thepacker, isolates buttons from tubingpressure surges
• Hold-down buttons maintain packoffduring high-pressure operations from
below• Rocker slips set with only 3/4 turn;
straight pick-up to retrieve

RETRIEVAMATIC/HURRICANE PLUGS
Product Nos. 407-14 & 407-18The Model “J” Retrievamatic has a J-
shaped control slot in the bottom thatautomatically re-positions the tool to therun-in position when it is picked up; no
rotation of the tool is required to go backdownhole.
The Model “J” Plug is designed to berun in conjunction with hydraulic and
mechanical-set liner hangers. Runningthe Model “J” in the string above the linerhanger allows the liner to be set and the
liner top to be tested and/or squeezedimmediately following primary cement-
ing operations. The Model “J” is alsosuitable for use in heavy duty cementer
or in hurricane plug applications. The Model “L” Retrievamatic has an
L-shaped control slot in the bottom thatrequires no rotation to reset when mov-ing up hole. However, it does require
rotation to reposition it back to the run-inposition. It is for operations where it is
desirable to be able to pick up and re-main in the “ready to set” position.
The “J” & “L” are available for casingsizes 5-1/2" (139,7 mm) to 16" (406,4 mm) and offer no 8 rd connections on the
Retrievamatic or on lift subs.

MODEL “P-2”™ SET-DOWNUNLOADING SUBProduct No. 671-03
The Model “P-2” Set-Down UnloadingSub is used to equalize tubing-annulus
pressure when using a set-down packer.A face-type seal prevents communica-tion between the tubing and annulus
when the sub is in the closed position;the sub is held open or closed by collet
fingers. Since the sub is essentiallypressure balanced, normal set-down
weight required for operation of the toolrun below the sub is sufficient to maintain
closed position when run with the propersize tubing.

MODEL “C”™
RETRIEVABLE BRIDGE PLUGProduct No. 677-01
A dependable plug that holds pressurefrom above or below, the Model “C” isused for acidizing, formation fracturing,
and temporary pressure containment. This plug uses differential pressure
from above or below to achieve andmaintain packoff. Once the plug hasbeen run to the desired depth and re-
leased, it sets automatically and sealsagainst pressure differential from either
direction.Simple to pick up and relocate, it is
ideal for selective isolation and fractur-
ing, acidizing, or testing of several zonesin one round trip when used with a re-
trievable cementer. It is run and retrievedwith the Model “H” ™ Washover Type
