Over the past 10 years, it has been a privilege as well as a mission to be a contributor in helping individuals truly discover and succeed in what it means to be the very best they can be in their field of play.

We take a unique, individualized approach to helping uncover the truth. Our coaches investigate the areas where they need improvement and the weaknesses they need to address. No matter the goal, every person can benefit from a coach who will align their goals and push them to their unique potential.

Since the birth of OPEX, our coaches have programmed over 1 million workout while investing in our clients lifestyle and nutrition prescription in detail. Our goal is to continue to grow our Remote Coaching by being the number one individual coaching system for fitness in the world.

OPEX’s Remote Coaching is specifically designed for the individuals who love fitness, want to see continued improvement, understand the value of hard work, and the immense possibilities when they have guidance from an OPEX Coach.

MONTHLY CONSULTATIONOnce a month the client has a Skype call with their coach for a check-in on how your training process and experience is going. This is the coach’s way to ensure consistency, revisit goals and make sure everything is aligned with long term goals. This will act as a major update on your lifestyle, your sleep, nutrition, stress family, and friends. The consultation will covering the entire spectrum of what you have going on in your life. The ultimate goal of the monthly consult is to consistently communicate and ensure progress.

INITIAL CONSULTATIONThe Client Consult is your initial meeting with your coach and a key component to the assessment process. This is a one-hour face-to-face Skype conversation with the coach based on movement and passed experiences in fitness. This data allows the coach to identify structural weakness, mechanical advantages/disadvantages and the true priorities.

INDIVIDUAL PROGRAMMINGOPEX build’s a training program that is completely individualized for you. After a thorough understanding of your movement patterns, fitness background, lifestyle factors and priorities, and what you are looking to achieve, your coach designs a completely individualized program. Using state of the art technology, the client is held accountable and the coach can track dailky progress and constantly upgrade programming to match the evolving fitness journey.

ABOUT THE EXPERIENCEHere at OPEX we do complete individual coaching - never templated or generic. Our team pair you with a coach that performs an assessment, investigates lifestyle, and then creates a training program specifically tailored to your goals.The OPEX Experience includes nutrition prescription which identifies analyzes how you feel in training, recovery and lifestyle. Additionally, coaches look into life stressors, sleeping & working habits as they effect daily training and long term health and wellness. After gathering all the data our coaches refine a fitness program tailored to your needs to reach your maximize potential.

FITNESS WITH PURPOSE LIFESTYLE AND NUTRITION CONSULTINGThrough ongoing communication with the coach, clients will address the effects of sleep, recovery , nutrition, and schedule on the long term goal. Byconstantly aligning with priorities, coaches lead clients towards self discover.Coaches provide clients with education around nutrition and guidelinesto maximize performance and pursuit of goals.

TEST/RETESTAfter an intial movement analysis and assessment, coaches will periodically revist those same movements and add testing into clients programming every 6-8 week to identify progression.

I dabbled in Crossfit for a couple of years and this inspired me to learn more about fitness. I caught wind of OPEX somewhere along the line and I immediately clicked with everything they were teaching. They seemed to be light years ahead. I had so many questions and Crossfit wasn’t answering them. In particular, I felt Crossfit had no clue as to how the aerobic system functioned and supported fitness. OPEX was the only one in that realm that seemed to get it. I saw James Fitzgerald understood endurance sports and he also understood the sport of fitness…along with a lot of other key stuff. Finally, someone was making sense. Meanwhile, after 40 years of serious distance running…and a 5-6 year period of stress involving one family emergency after another…I began to falter physically. I turned to OPEX to try and guide myself back to a healthy fitness.

LAURA DAVIDSONSince started with OPEX, I have seen amazing results. I am stronger that I have been in years. I am up to 45lbs on my goblet carry, I started at 15lbs. I literally could not do anything with my knees, RDL, Roman Step Up in the beginning. Sean really had to start me out slowly on all accounts. He would know best as to where I stared to where I am now from a trainer’s perspective. In my opinion, I am light years from day one! My knees no longer hurt all the time, and the right knee is no longer swollen all the time. If I have trouble, ice and ibuprofen do the job. This is honestly a miracle as I was getting ready to have surgery to strip the scar tissue. I was lucky to have 6,000 steps a day now my daily goal is 15,000. I have lost 4.5 inches in my hips and 5.o inches across my belly.

Since starting with OPEX, I’ve made 5 trips to the CrossFit Games. I've placed in the top 10 at the OC Throwdown and took 1st place at the Infinite Strength Games 2015. I was signed to the Phoenix Rise of the NPGL and name captain for two season. In the 2015 season of GRID we were runner up to the DC Brawlers for the Pinnacle Trophy. I've also opened a training facility where we employ about 6 other coaches and I've developed a successful online coaching business of approximately 40 clients.

Currently I'm making a return to CrossFit competition after taking a year off from competing in the OPEN/Regionals/Games. Training and competing in the sport of CrossFit is important to me because it keeps me connected to a community of people I love including my clients, friends, colleagues, and coaches.

CHELSEA NICHOLASBack in 2014, I competed on a team at the Northwest Regional. It was a great experience but my ultimate goal was to compete as an individual....I picked OPEX because it seemed well established. I didn’t know much about it at the time but I was ready to commit to something and OPEX looked promising.

And I was right! I am currently coached by Robin Lyons and my goal is to compete again at regionals as an individual. I competed as an individual at the 2015 West Regional and earned the opportunity to compete at other big competitions such as Granite Games, Cascade Classic, CrossFit Fort Vancouver Invitational, and Wodapalooza. Aside from PRs in the gym I am learning how to compete at a higher level.

TENNIL REEDMy goal has always been to compete in the CrossFit games. Since starting with OPEX, I have increased all my lifts, became more skilled with my gymnastics, and an overall more confident athlete. Last year I placed 9th at Regionals so I am looking to break into the top and head to the Games. I’ve placed well in all the major competition leading up to the Open this year so I am confident in what I have to bring to the table.

My coach Mike is always telling me, "if you want it, you have to go and get it!" It's almost like a challenge, which works for me because I'm so competitive! I've learned again and again, I can only control me and what I can do.... So that's what I'm going to work on every day.
