Amy searches on Slack and Facebook groups for digital nomads that are located in Buenos Aires that she could get in touch with for potential accommodations. In the meantime, Amy books her flight to Buenos Aires and searches as well as books her accommodations via AirBnB.

Amy orders an Uber to airport.

Amy takes an Uber to her AirBnB. When Amy arrives, she notifies her loved ones that she is safe and at her accommodation.

After eating Amy rests (sleep).

Amy wakes up on Sunday and searches Google for potential places to work at on Monday. She searches for potential cafes on google (specifically locations that have free wi-fi)

Cafe #1: She finds a cafe close to her AirBnB on yelp, but after arriving does not like it because it is very noisy and does not have enough power outlets.

Amy leaves the cafe because it is too loud and  goes home in order to participate in a meeting over skype that afternoon.

“Traveling so much makes me happy and it's my passion, but it's not like I'm always on the beach or anything like that. A lot of work goes into this and it takes dedication, discipline, and above all else, the ability to motivate yourself.” -Amy

Amy works the entire day from home today, not going to a cafe or coworking space. Amy gets all of her work done for the day

When she gets home she looks on google for potential coworking spaces to try out the next day (Wednesday) because she has been working from home every day she has been in Buenos Aires.

First Coworking Space: Too expensive, she leaves.

Second coworking space: Feels unwelcomed not interactive

Third coworking space: Great facilities, consistent w-fi, she decides to work there for the remainder of the day

Amy Rests after getting home and later writes on Medium about her experience arriving and working in Buenos Aires.

“I work a lot sometimes and that's just how it is. And there are a lot of times where I really just feel lonely. I miss my family. I miss my friends.”

I've had those low moments where I'm laying in my bed at night crying and thinking, "If I died right here in this bed right now, no one would know or care!" You totally get those moments. This is not all sunshine and butterflies.

Amy Logs onto her RemoteWorkAir account on Sunday to find remote workers in the area that she could potentially connect with.

Amy searches the web-platform for freelancers in the area to work with tomorrow. In the advance search options she specified the following:

1. English Speaking 2. Desk Available 3. Natural Light 4. Strong wi-fi connection

After viewing her search results, Amy checks out the profile of one of her matches, Alex, an Argentinian freelancer. The profile of Alex includes her age, occupation, location, and linkedin profile. The profile also provides photos and a list of amenities the space has to offer (ie. wi-fi, desk, printer etc.)

Amy begins a conversation with Alex over RemoteWorkAir and makes a plan to meet the following day at Alex’s studio at 9:30am.

Amy receives directions to Alex’s place via her RemoteWorkAir App that integrates GoogleMaps

Amy walks to the studio and meets Alex for the first time.

Amy meets Alex and sets up her work area at a desk near the kitchen table where alex is working on AI.

During lunch they both take a break to talk about their careers, current projects, and the city nightlife.

They continue to work

Amy and Alex finish working at 5pm and Alex invites Amy to a local pub with his freelancer friends.
