INTRODUCTION

We were too eager to see tomorrow. Looking forward to a new beginning. But the end of our era is never-ending. So, we are rushing its agony a little. Too eager to rebuild.It’s true that we were offered to slow down our race. That we were led to believe that we could heal this era. False solutions. We have to do it all over again. It is not enough to slow down. We need to change the itinerary. Regardless of the pace, the destination is what’s threatening us.In the streets and in the sky, in the minds and in the seas, the climate is getting warmer. Anger but also passion. Challenges, but also creations. At the foot of the wall, it is a movement of hope invading the world. Our civilization is itself launching its fossilization. Stop. Let us admire this gift that is already yesterday. Our modernity has been archaic for so long.There is no touch-up, no band-aid, no adjustment. There’s no time for that.A tidal wave makes a clean slate. You shouldn’t cry, you shouldn’t fight. Do not regret this suicidal world. We must smile and embrace this future that is impatient to become our present.Finally, rid of our suffocating schemes, we build quickly and lightly. But above all, we dream. Yes. We are rediscovering the joy of believing in tomorrow. Without borders. Without limits. Our planet is our ark. The universe is the ocean of a humanity that has become an explorer of its own history. Nous avions trop hâte de voir demain. Hâte d’un nouveau départ. Mais notre époque n’en finit plus de finir. Alors, nous précipitons un peu son agonie. Trop pressés de reconstruire.C’est vrai qu’on nous a proposé de ralentir notre course. Qu’on nous a fait croire que nous pouvions guérir l’époque. Fausses solutions. Il faut tout refaire. Il ne suffit pas de ralentir le pas. Il faut changer d’itinéraire. Peu importe le rythme, c’est la destination qui nous menace.Dans les rues et dans le ciel, dans les esprits et dans les mers, le climat s’échauffe. De colères mais aussi de passions. De contestations, mais aussi de créations. Au pied du mur, c’est un mouvement d’espoir qui envahit le monde. Notre civilisation lance elle-même sa fossilisation. Stop. Admirons ce présent qui est déjà un hier. Notre modernité est archaïque depuis si longtemps déjà.Il n’y a pas de retouche, pas de pansement, pas d’ajustement. Il n’y a pas le temps.Un raz-de-marée fait table rase. Il ne faut pas pleurer, pas lutter. Ne pas regretter ce monde suicidaire. Il faut sourire et embrasser cet avenir qui s’impatiente de devenir notre présent.Enfin débarrasser de nos schémas étouffants, nous bâtissons vite et léger. Mais surtout, nous rêvons. Oui. Nous redécouvrons la joie de croire en demain. Sans frontière. Sans limite. Notre planète est notre arche. L’univers est l’océan d’une humanité devenue exploratrice de sa propre histoire. Consciente de son impact. Une humanité sans utopie, mais unie par ce regard qu’elle porte vers un horizon inconnu.

Nous n’y croyons plus. Ni aux mots des dirigeants, ni au bonheur artificiel de la consommation, ni à cette technologie censée nous libérer. Des promesses que nous n’achetons plus. Mais nous n’avons pas perdu la foi. Au contraire. Le monde n’a jamais autant eu d’espoir. Seulement, il n’est plus question de suivre quelques leaders. Humains ou machines. Finie la passivité. Sans rien faire, nous avons été une part du problème. En agissant, nous serons une brique de la solution. C’est une belle vision. Et une révolution. Et les révolutions, même bienveillantes, ne se font pas dans la douceur...

…Pink. Yellow. Fluorescent. Acid. Colors are everywhere. Yesterday, you were supposed to be thrilled by a rainbow or aurora borealis to see this palette. Today, they are invading supermarkets, screens and, ultimately, garbage bins. They are the lures of consumption and marketing. This synthetic color, like an artificial paradise setting, we use it. Since we must no longer discard it, we melt, stretch, mix, repaint. Color is still spreading, but it has regained its primary function: beauty. No more colors to attract the eye. Today, they cover the world like an autumn canopy on acid…

…Rose. Jaune. Fluo. Acide. Les couleurs sont partout. Hier, il fallait s’extasier devant un arc-en-ciel ou une aurore boréale pour apercevoir cette palette. Aujourd’hui, elles envahissent les supermarchés, les écrans et au final, les poubelles. Elles sont les leurres de la consommation et du marketing. Cette couleur synthétique, comme un décor de paradis artificiel, nous l’utilisons. Puisqu’il ne faut plus jeter, nous fondons, étirons, mélangeons, repeignons. La couleur s’étale toujours, mais elle retrouve sa fonction première : la beauté. Finies les couleurs pour attirer l’œil. Aujourd’hui, elles couvrent le monde comme une canopée d’automne sous acides…

…No, there will be no planet B. We are not dreaming. We don’t even want to. But looking up there, we regain our real size. Insignificant. Our disappearance would have gone unnoticed. It would merely have bothered us. All our humility is up there. So are all our dreams of greatness in the face of this unknown ocean, before these scrutinizing, curious stars. Re-enchanted. We are re-enchanted. No more cynicism and despair trends. We were laughed at, arguing that utopia was the prerogative of the candid. But utopia is the weapon of creators. A long time ago, humanity was enchanted by its own possibilities. Its intelligence. And then she was disillusioned. But hope is reborn. And it is not artificial. It is not that of the child discovering its strength. It is that of the adult aware of his destructive power.We are re-enchanted because we have decided to believe in ourselves again. We forgive ourselves. We silence the birds of bad omens. Those who do nothing only talk about the facts. Those who act sing their faith. And the greater the action, the crazier the act of faith seems. And yes, we are crazy. Totally crazy to believe in tomorrow. Crazy to still want to build, live, love. So crazy, they’d say we were straight out of a fairy tale. Bewitched by the enchantment of a few spells. And we are owning it.For forty years, we have been encouraged to be content. We are being asked to be patient. We are being begged to accept. But it’s over now. In this play, the audience suffered from the story, while a handful of actors ruled the world according to their interests.We invade the stage. We steal the script. We take our pen to write a new script. And this one starts with: “Once upon a time... ”

Réenchantés. Nous sommes réenchantés. Fini le cynisme et le désespoir tendances. On s’est moqué de nous, arguant que l’’utopie était l’apanage des candides. Mais l’utopie est l’arme des créateurs. Il y a longtemps, l’humanité a été enchantée par ses propres possibilités. Son intelligence. Et puis, elle a déchanté. Mais l’espoir renaît. Et il n’est pas artificiel. Il n’est pas celui de l’enfant qui découvre sa force. Il est celui de l’adulte qui connaît son pouvoir destructeur.Nous sommes réenchantés parce que nous avons décidé de croire en nous à nouveau. Nous nous pardonnons. Nous faisons taire les oiseaux de mauvais augures. Ceux qui ne font rien ne parlent que des faits. Ceux qui agissent chantent leur foi. Et plus l’action est grande, plus l’acte de foi paraît fou. Et oui, nous sommes fous. Totalement fous de croire en demain. Fous de vouloir encore construire, vivre, aimer. Tellement fous, qu’on nous dirait sortis d’un conte de fée. Envoûtés par l’enchantement de quelques sortilèges. Et nous le revendiquons.Depuis quarante ans, on nous incite à nous contenter. On nous demande de patienter. On nous supplie d’accepter. Mais c’est fini. Dans cette pièce de théâtre, les spectateurs souffraient de l’histoire, alors qu’une poignée d’acteurs dirigeaient le monde selon leurs intérêts.Nous envahissons la scène. Nous volons le scénario. Nous prenons notre plume pour écrire un nouveau scripte. Et celui-ci commence par : « Il sera une fois... »

Like rabbits in the headlights of a car. Unable to move. It must be said that the apocalypse is beautiful. It has the colors of flames and the warmth of fire. But it also sparkles with the reflections of the water and is covered in the cold of the ice. Like a parenthesis. A moment of suspense. In balance between the end and the beginning. A meeting point between heat and cold, between matte and shiny. Between antagonists who are close friends. A marriage that hypnotizes the eye and continues to fascinate us while the next step is being prepared.Comme des lapins dans les phares d’une voiture. Incapable de bouger. Il faut dire que l’apocalypse est belle. Elle a les couleurs des flammes et la chaleur du feu. Mais elle scintille aussi des reflets de l’eau et se drape de la froideur de la glace. Comme une parenthèse. Un moment suspendu. En équilibre entre la fin et le début. Un point de rencontre entre la chaleur et le froid, entre le mate et le brillant. SYNTHETIC DAZZLE ÉBLOUISSEMENT SYNTHÉTIQUE

We’re on our way. No more subtle shades. We let the colors explode. They make eve-rything more beautiful. So, we start by co-vering the fossils of our ancient civilization with them. Our waste becomes a psyche-delic piece of work. Our waste splashes like rainbows. The shapes and nature of the ob-jects mix and twist. Normal, at a time when values are reversed, when habits are sha-king, objects are the toys of the redefinition of their time. It doesn’t seem to make much sense, but we’re not looking for it. We just let our eyes be spellbound by beauty.Nous voilà lancés. Finie la nuance. Nous laissons exploser les couleurs. Elles rendent tout plus beau. Alors nous commençons par en recouvrir les fossiles de notre an-cienne civilisation. Nos déchets deviennent des œuvres psychédéliques. Nos rebuts éclaboussent comme des arcs-en-ciel. Les formes et la nature des objets se mêlent et se contorsionnent. Normal, à un moment où les valeurs s’inversent, où les habitudes se bousculent, les objets sont les jouets de la redéfinition de leur époque. Tout ça ne semble pas avoir beaucoup de sens, mais nous n’en cherchons pas. Nous laissons juste nos yeux être envoûtés par la beauté.

We are torn between earth and light. Between the ground and the sky. But there is no choice. Our feet are anchored and our eyes are lifting us up. A past and a future. The dark colors of the depths. From the depths of the subsoil and the confines of the universe. But also, the bright colors of the light that makes people grow, that makes them dream, that proves that there is a source of life somewhere, even if our eyes are dazzled for the moment. It’s a door we’re going to walk through. An unknown destination but approached with the faith of those who are sure of the journey taken.Nous voilà tiraillés entre la terre et la lumière. Entre le sol et le ciel. Mais il n’y a pas à choisir. Nos pieds sont ancrés et nos regards nous élèvent. Un passé et un avenir. Les couleurs sombres des profondeurs. Des profondeurs des sous-sols et des confins de l’univers. Mais aussi les couleurs vives de la lumière qui fait pousser, qui fait rêver, qui prouve qu’il y a une source de vie, quelque part, même si nos yeux sont éblouis pour l’instant. CONCLUSION

We were hoping to see the world change. But we had to face the facts. It wouldn’t change on its own. It would continue its journey. To a destination to which we do not belong. For some time, we thought that resignation was winning. But the desire to live, to act, to draw our own utopia has taken over. So, we rushed our molt. It seemed like an end, destruction, but it was only a rebirth.The future was like a dark night. But now we can see stars. Lights like so many possible fates. We are the first.We will change too. The human being will never be the same again. A new identity. A new definition. We will reinvent ourselves. How? In what way? We will only receive the answer when we reach our destination. Then we will adapt to our new world.For the moment, we remain malleable, fluid, ready for anything.The unknown scares some people. Everyone, in fact. But most of us understood that it was the certainties that were leading us to the end. Doubt and the unknown are our best allies.We don’t know anything and that may be the best way to make sure we’re not mistaken.On espérait voir le monde changer. Mais il a fallu se rendre à l’évidence. Il ne changerait pas tout seul. Il continuerait son chemin. Vers une destination à laquelle nous n’appartenons pas. Mais la plupart d’entre nous ont compris que ce sont les certitudes qui nous menaient à notre fin.
