Trade Ally & QA Process UpdateMarch 9, 2010
Trade Allies:• experienced vendors & contracting companies • have proven their qualifications • requested to be listed on the website
Quality Assurance (QA) process: • for experienced RE contracting companies • allows expedited inspections • random inspection process (less than 100%)
Trade Ally listing and the QA process are inter-related.
Trade Ally UpdateMarch 9, 2010
• 21 categories on the website; over 40 PV installaters• Requires completing a Trade Ally Agreement Form• PV installer listing requires successfully completing three consecutive PV projects:
• Application must list the project reference numbers• Projects must have passed both the REIP inspection and the State safety/code inspection
• Must maintain status as a QA eligible company• Companies are Trade Allies; not individual employees• REIP will complete an annual confirmation process of PV Trade Allies to keep the list up to date
QA Process UpdateMarch 9, 2010
• Quality Assurance (QA) process began April 6, 2009• New installers are subject to 100% Quality Control (QC) inspections by REIP program• To become QA eligible requires successfully completing three consecutive PV projects
• Projects must have passed both the REIP inspection and the State safety/code inspection• Subsequent failed inspection reverts company back to 100% QC status
• Companies are QA eligible; not individual employees• QA eligible installers must attend an annual half day QA Update Training to maintain status
