The message isn’t lost on the Philippines, who

is already the world’s second largest producer

of geothermal energy, and is pledging to triple

 by 2030, as the Department of Energy (DOE)

launched its National Renewable Energy 

Program in June. The country’s renewable

its total installed generating capacity.

The ambitious targets of the National

Renewable Energy Program include more

than doubling the geothermal and hydro

power generating capacities – which
