In exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection 79( 1) and paragraph 79(2)(a) of the Fisheries Act [CAP 315], I, the Honourable JAMES NGWANGO, Minister of Agriculture Quarantine, Forestry and Fisheries, make the following Order.
1 Ban on deep-bottom longline fishing method A person must not:
(a) use a deep-line bottom longline fishing gear and method for deep-bottom fishing; or
(b) have in his or her possession or sell or offer for sale a deep-bottom longline fishing gear.
2 Conservation and management measure on dropline fishing method and gear
A person must not:
(a) use a deep-bottom dropline fishing gear with more than 10 hooks attached to it for deep-bottom fishing; or
(b) have in his or her possession or sell or offer for sale a deep-bottom dropline fishing gear with more than 10 hooks attached to it.

3 Offence and penalty Any person who contravenes any clauses of this Order is guilty of an offence and is punishable on a conviction by a fine not exceeding:
