CONFERENCEAn excellent 3-day educational program put together by the Radiology Society of the Emirates, welcomed 45 esteemed speakers from the UK, Norway, USA, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Bulgaria, South Korea, India, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman and UAE who shared their latest research and knowledge on various sub - specialties in the field of Radiology.

Emphasizing on the future of Radiology and the role of Artificial Intelligence; a panel discussion was conducted by experts in the field to discuss whether or not AI will replace radiologists in the future. The very informative session concluded on a great note that AI will not replace radiologists but indeed work together with radiologists resulting in greater imaging.

PARALLEL SESSIONSParallel to the main conference, ARM 2018 focused on 2 specialized courses: Dedicated Radiographer Sessions and Pediatric Imaging Seminar.

Dedicated Radiographer SessionsWith the support of the Radiographers Society of the Emirates [RASE], 2 days were dedicated to radiographers to cover important updates and research that will improve the role of radiographers and increase the overall efficiency of the Radiology Department. Various sub specialties were covered under this course focusing on Dose, CT, MRI, Management, Quality Control, Mammography, Forensic Imaging, Emergency Medical Imaging and more.

Pediatric Imaging SeminarOn the final day of ARM, the focus was on Pediatric Imaging, a one-day seminar conducted by the Middle East Society of Pediatric Radiology featuring a number of dedicated scientific sessions such as: Fetal Brain MRI, Imaging Evaluation of Pediatric Congenital Brain and Spine Malformations, Pediatric Neonatal Lung Disorders, Imaging Evaluation of Neonatal Bowel Obstruction and Congenital Musculoskeletal Disorders to name a few.

AWARDSEmirates Radiology CupARM 2018 hosted the Emirates Radiology Cup, a competition for specialists & residents to present their best case, evaluated by 3 highly qualified and experienced professionals in the field of Radiology.

Poster PresentationA new competition known as the poster presentation competition for radiologists, radiographers & students were introduced. Poster presentations are a great opportunity for researchers to present their work to an interested audience. Very interesting researches were presented from which 2 winners were selected.
