Background: The purpose of this report is to provide Council with an update on the current status of all applications that are active within ,the Planning Division. This includes all develo ment p ( Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment) applications, all draft plans of subdivision applications, and all site plan applications. The status report does not include consent or minor variance applications that are active with Planning staff; as of writing this report there have been 18 consent applications and 36 minor variance applications received and processed by staff in 2016. A ttachment #1 contains a chart which provides the details on each application being processed within the Planning Division and Attachment #2 provides a location map that identifies the location of each of the applications currently being processed by the Planning Division. It is recommended:

1. That Report No. DS2016-101 be received for information purposes and postedon the Township's website.

Background:

The purpose of this report is to provide Council with an update on the current status of allapplications that are active within ,the Planning Division. This includes all develo mentp(Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment) applications, all draft plans of subdivisionapplications, and all site plan applications. The status report does not include consent orminor variance applications that are active with Planning staff; as of writing this reportthere have been 18 consent applications and 36 minor variance applications receivedand processed by staff in 2016.

Attachment #1 contains a chart which provides the details on each application beingprocessed within the Planning Division and Attachment #2 provides a location map thatidentifies the location of each of the applications currently being processed by thePlanning Division.

Analysis:

Planning staff continue to receive new planning applications for review and processing.In addition, Planning staff receive and review applications for pre-consultations andcoordinate meetings with proponents, Township Staff and other agencies in advance offormal planning applications. Planning Staff have been reviewing and providing

comments with respect to the County of Simcoe Official. Plan, which is now in effect.Staff will now be working with the Township's planning consultant to ensure the CountYpolicies are incorporated into the conformity exercise for the Township's Official Planthis year. DS2016-114, a report on the recommended consultant to complete theComprehensive Review/Update to the Official Plan and Zoning By-law for 2016-2017 tobe presented to Council at the December 7 Development Services meeting.
