Aim of the Event :
A demo session on “Android” was organized
with the aim of introducing students to the
career opportunities in the field of developing
apps and gaming through android.
Event Report in brief :
SDP organized the guest lecture for Second
and third year Students. The session was
conducted by AH and sr. subject matter expert
on java J2EE for SEED INFOTECH
LIMITED. Before starting the Android
development He divided the session into four
introductory parameters:
Session –
I: Introduction of Java concepts Session
II: what is android and Android Architecture

III: Android Applications Development
IV: Introduction of How to develop different
apps and tools using android.
In the first part of this demo session, Mr.
Rajeev discussed about the Java concepts
which are essentials for the understanding of
Android OS. Sir has also given some examples
of object creation, encapsulation, inheritance,
abstraction etc and linked these things with the
real world. Then, sir explored the concepts of
java in the second introductory part with the
help of implementation of packages in java and
the classes which are in build in java. After
that, sir gave the introduction about android
operating system and its history. Sir explained
the constraints of the mobile application as
compared to the desktop application like
orientation, processing power, Events calls,
platform versions, testing parameters etc.
Basically these are the essentials which we
have to be keep in mind before developing the
mobile application. The web sites which can
help the students for developing apps using
android i.e. developer.android.com etc. Then
sir went on to explain about IDE for develop
the application and started the work on Eclipse
IDE. He explained various things in IDE and
then explained a small application for the
students’ knowledge. Students asked many
questions on application development and their
future scope in mobile application. It was an
extremely informative and an interactive
session where students acquired enormous
basic knowledge on Android. The students
were very keen for this guest lecture and they
learned a lot about Android. This guest lecture
would certainly help them understand their
subject in a new perspective.
