Report on Solar Clean Water System Installation

Jan. 8-9 – Traveled from Manila to Aparri.

Site inspection of the Municipal Hall roof.

A meeting was held with key people after the site inspection. The water system was intended for the disaster or

evacuation center that will be built in three months. However, it was agreed that the clean water system be temporarily

installed at the back of the municipal hall and transferred to the disaster/evacuation center once it is constructed.

Jan. 10 – Installation of solar powering components.

Procurement and cleaning of six 200-liter drums

Fabricatio of roof gutter

Initial piping works, electrical layouts and set-up of filters

Installation of roof gutters, downspout, and piping works

Testing and demonstration of the Solar-powered Clean Water System (with Emergency LED Spotlight and Cellular Phone

Charging Station) and training of the Municipal Engineering Staff in the use and maintenance of the system
