    cancer-causing (carcinogenic) compoundsbesides four hundred other toxins includingnicotine and tar.

    Smoking causes lung and throat cancer, heartdisease, emphysema, bronchial and lungdisorders.

    A recent report has shown that smoking tobaccoand nicotine is the worlds leading cause ofdeath and disability - more than HIV, AIDS, orfamine.

    Of the 22 male candidate 19(86.3%)said that they do smoke. Rest3(13.6%) said they do not smokewhich shows that the smoking rateis high compared to the nonsmokers.

    Whereas in female candidates

    smokers rate is 62.5% ascompared to non smokers which is37.5%.

    In this we see that male smokersare 79.1% and female smokers are

    they will quit this habit, but therest 42% said that they wontquit and would continue with it.

    Among the 14(58%) quitters11(78.5%) are boys and3(21.5%) are girls.

    After all this analysis it is evidentthat the flux or originating point ofsmoking in persons life is thatpersons teen age period.

    Smoking is influenced mainlybecause they are influenced byfriends and mostly do it for fun.

    Young male smokers are more ascompared to their femalecounterparts.

    Most smokers intend to quit

    CONCLUSION.CONCLUSION.

    In spite of all the health warnings,youngsters continue to getenthusiastic on tobacco. Eventhough they all know that it's badfor them.

    It can be concluded that the habit ofsmoking catches a person mainly

    at the mere age of 14-16.It can also be concluded that a

    shallow knowledge of the healthrisks is not enough to convinceoun sters to not smoke. Pro er
