Comments for Reporting
The curriculum can contain different item types (hand-
books, e-learning courses, and learning rooms). Each item
type will be included separately in the Detailed Training
History report.
The Curriculum Status Summary report shows the progress
on the various curriculums the user has assigned to his or
her training plan.
Definition
A curriculum is a group of courses that prepare learners
for and lead to a certification exam. The curriculum they
choose can contain handbooks, e-learning courses, and
learning rooms. When they add a curriculum to their
learning content area, they don’t need to search for all
the individual courses that make up a certification; they
simply add all relevant courses with one single mouse-
click to their training plan. Once learners have studied all
the courses in their chosen curriculum, they will be
ready for the related certification exam.
Curriculums and programs are both used to design
learning paths. A curriculum gives learners a strictly
sequential path of training items and is used to visualize

Comments for Reporting
A program can contain different item types (courses,
e-learning, handbooks, learning maps, and learning
rooms). Each item type will be included separately in
reporting.
Definition
Programs are a new course category in SAP Learning
Hub, providing a learning content bundle that partici-
pants can use to track their completion progress.
These programs are now a preferred method for bundling
more than one course into a logical learning path. They
were created for the online courses. Learners can use
them to track completion progress throughout their
course of study. We plan to use them extensively to build
learning maps and enrich the customer experience.
SAP Learning Hub currently offers open-ended programs
that provide the most flexibility – with no dictated start or
end date and times or fixed duration, in comparison to
scheduled or duration-based programs.

• Estimated duration: Estimated durations for the new
course format are included for most courses now in
SAP Learning Hub. More will be available in the future.
• Status completed/User finished: This only applies to
online courses. It is triggered by completion of the
course.
• Time spent on the course: This only applies to online
courses. Once the user launches the course, the report
will show the time the user spent on the course. The
time field will be blank if the user self-assigns the course
but has not started it yet.
• Note for courses on the openSAP platform: These
courses will be included in the Detailed Training History
report. Since the content for these courses is stored on
the openSAP platform, the course completion status

Definition
A course is a general item type that is used, for example,
for individual content items that make up a program,
such as Early Knowledge Transfer or hybris® Essentials
online Web-based training (HY100).
This item type also covers courses provided by the
openSAP platform. These courses are accessible through
links in SAP Learning Hub. The content is stored on the
openSAP platform.

• Estimated duration: All e-learning courses show their
actual duration in SAP Learning Hub.
• Status completed/User finished: This is triggered by
completion of the course.
• Time spent on the course: Once the user launches the
course, the report will show the amount of time the user
spent on the course. The time field will be blank if the
user self-assigns the course but has not started it yet.
• User’s progress: An e-learning course can contain
several lessons (called objects in SAP Learning Hub).
In the Detailed Training History report, a user’s progress
through e-learning courses is reported at the content
object level, so that if a course consists of three content

The Completed Courses report shows completed
courses, including e-learning courses, as one line item
rather than broken into several lessons. It also shows the
estimated course duration for each item so you can
report against estimated course time for all e-learning
courses.

Comments for Reporting
• Estimated duration: Handbooks show an estimated
duration in SAP Learning Hub, which is based on four
hours for every day of the equivalent classroom course.
The estimated duration is shown in the Detailed Training
History report.
• Completion status/Time spent: Handbooks are
considered as reference material and not Sharable
Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) compliant,
so the status and progress cannot be tracked.
Definition
A handbook is the format in which learning content is
presented. On SAP Learning Hub, users have access to
handbooks for more than 3,000 training courses,
ranging from introductory to advanced courses. To
display content, a handbook uses flipbook functionality,
allowing learners to scroll through course content, add
bookmarks, and add notes to assist with understanding.
Flipbooks have a useful search feature that allows you to
find topics of interest easily and quickly. For anytime,
anywhere access, learners can view a handbook on a
mobile device such as an iPad. However, a handbook
cannot be printed.

Comments for Reporting
• Estimated duration: Learning maps show estimated
duration times once opened. Estimated durations for
learning maps are included for most courses now in
reports for SAP Learning Hub. More will be available
in the future.
• Completion status/Time spent: Since a learning map
can contain different materials like flipbooks, demos,
and PDFs, no tracking against completion is possible.
Definition
A learning map is a collection of user training materials
for a specific business role. Structured like a table of
contents, the learning map guides learners through a
preselected set of content from an e-learning training
course. It provides brief information about the learning
units as well as links to the training material. A map
leverages the training content for a specific template or
implementation project based on specific role
assignments.
When new solutions and functions are implemented,
users must be trained in the new functions they will use.
A learning map is generated for specific tasks of a role
(for example, new functionality a purchasing agent will
use) from an existing project structure.

Comments for Reporting
• Estimated duration: Learning rooms do not have
expected course durations, as these provide social
learning and reference materials rather than structured
learning objects.
• Completion status: Once a learning room has been
assigned by a user, and the user has agreed with the
terms and conditions (T&C) of SAP Learning Hub, it will
be reported as completed. The completion status can
be used to track if users have actually visited a specific
learning room.
Definition
An SAP Learning Room is an expert-moderated, social
learning environment. A room is devoted to specific
topics and is structured along the curriculums. Learners
join others who have similar learning objectives and
want to complete the same content.

The points earned each week, along with a final exam at
the end of the course, contribute to the record of
achievement.
Comments for Reporting
• Completion status: Courses on the openSAP platform
will be included in the Detailed Training History report.
Since the content for these courses is stored on the
openSAP platform, the course completion status is not
applicable.
Definition
Discover how the openSAP platform delivers free
resources to everyone interested in our innovative
solutions through massive open online courses, or
MOOCs. These courses run over a number of weeks,
with participants spending approximately three to six
hours completing learning content each week. Courses
consist of video units, self-tests, and weekly
assignments.
Throughout the course, participants have the
opportunity to ask questions and discuss topics with
peers and SAP experts in dedicated discussion forums.
Participants can access the content at any time during
the week, but they must submit their weekly assignment
before the specified deadline if they want to earn a
record of achievement.

ADDITIONAL NOTE FOR REPORTING
The way SAP Learning Hub is set up, users can self-assign
courses and also self-delete courses. These activities
influence the result of reporting if the user decides to
remove a training course from his or her learning plan
before completing it. The same applies to reference
materials, like handbooks, that cannot be set to complete
and that are deleted by the user. Items that are not
marked as complete within SAP Learning Hub and that
have been deleted from the learner’s training plan before
the point of reporting will not be included in the report.

The Primary Supervisor field displays the primary
supervisor of the user logged in the system. It returns
a blank if no primary supervisor is assigned to the user.
The Custom 1, Custom 2, Custom 3 and Custom 4 fields
can be used for company-specific information – for
example, to further break down the report data on the
business-unit level.
ACCOUNT DATA REPORT
This report provides an overview of the user metadata.
The user metadata fields available in all reports are:
User ID, First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Country,
Primary Supervisor, and Custom 1, Custom 2, Custom 3
and Custom 4.
The Account Data report further lists the date on which
the user data has been created and the start and end
dates for user access.

The Detailed Training History report shows detailed
content consumption for all selected users.
It includes all training items that are assigned to the
user’s current training plan. The report includes details
such as the number of times the users have accessed
the training, and the last access date. For online courses
and e-learning, the report also includes details such as
completion status and the length of time the user spent
on specific e-learning lessons.

Object Last Activity This shows when the user has last accessed the object (for e-learning courses only). For other item types, the Object Last Activity date is equal to the User Last Activity date.

Assigned By Shows who has assigned the training item to the training plan
Completion Status This shows if the training has been completed. The completion status can be tracked for e-learning and online courses. For learning rooms, it indicates if the user has accepted the T&C when assigning the learning room.

ADDITIONAL NOTE
FOR REPORTING
The way SAP Learning Hub is set up, users can self-
assign and also self-delete courses. These activities
influence the result of reporting if the user decides to
remove a training item from his or her learning plan
before completing it. The same applies to reference
materials, like handbooks, that cannot be set to
complete and that are deleted by the user. Items that
are not marked as complete within SAP Learning Hub
and that have been deleted from the learner’s training
plan before the time of reporting will not be included in
the report.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR CUSTOMERS WITH
SAP LEARNING HUB 1.0
Completion status: As explained in the glossary comments,
handbooks and learning maps cannot be set to complete
and therefore will not appear in the completed courses
report. The only instance in which a handbook or a learning
map will appear as completed in a report is if the customer
previously used SAP Learning Hub 1.0 and the learning
history has been migrated into SAP Learning Hub 2.0.
All content that had a completion percentage of 100% is
migrated as completed.
