1. CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS
ALL WORKS SHALL COMPLY WITH THE DPWH STANDARDS SPECIFICATIONS FOR
HIGHWAYS, BRIDGES AND AIRPORTS, VOLUME 1I, 2013 EDITION; INCLUDING OTHER
SPECIFICALLY PREPARED FOR THIS PROJECT.
2. PROJECT CONTROLS AND REFERENCES
HORIZONTAL CONTROLS FOR THE PROJECT WITH CORRESPONDING ELEVATIONS
AND DESCRIPTIONS ARE AS SHOWN ON THE PLANS.
VERTICAL CONTROLS FOR THE PROJECT WITH CORRESPONDING ELEVATIONS
AND DESCRIPTION ARE AS SHOWN ON THE SAME DRAWINGS.
3. DIMENSIONS
LINEAR MEASUREMENTS OF STRUCTURES IN DETAILED DRAWINGS ARE IN
MILLIMETERS WHILE DISTANCES AND ELEVATIONS ARE IN METERS.
4. ELEVATIONS AND GRADES
ELEVATIONS AND FINISHED GRADES AS DESCRIBED IN THE ROAD PROFILES

5. HORIZONTAL TRANSITIONS
HORIZONTAL TRANSITIONS FOR ROADWAY TAPERINGS / WIDENINGS SHALL
BE APPLIED AS SHOWN ON THE PLANS.
6. REMOVAL OF EXISTING STRUCTURES AND
OBSTRUCTION
RESPECTED OWNERS WILL BE GIVEN PRIORITY TO TAKE ACTION IN THE
REMOVAL OF THEIR HOUSES FENCES, ELECTRICAL POLES AND OTHER UTILITIES.
PORTIONS OF EXISTING UTILITIES SUCH AS POWER LINES, WATER MAINS,
ETC. THAT MAY OBSTRUCT THE CONSTRUCTION OF THIS PROJECT, SHALL BE
RELOCATED BY THE INTITY OR OWNERS CONCERNED. EXTREME
PRECAUTION SHALL BE EXERCISED BY THE CONTRACTOR NOT TO DAMAGE
ANY PORTION OF THE EXISTING PUBLIC UTILITIES DURING
CONSTRUCTION.ANY DAMAGE THEREOF SHALL BE IN THE ACCOUNT OF THE
CONTRACTOR.
RELOCATION OF ANY GROUND UTILITY STRUCTURES SHALL BE SUCH THAT IT
WILL NOT CAUSE OBSTRUCTION NOR CONFLICT TO VEHICULAR AND PEDESTRIAN
TRAFFIC MOVEMENT.
7. ROAD CONNECTIONS AND PRIVATE ENTRANCES
ROAD CONNECTIONS SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED BY THE CONTRACTOR AS SHOWN ON THE PLANS OR
AS DIRECTED BY THE ENGINEERS IN SUCH A MANNER AS TO INSURE PROPER CONNECTION AND RIDING
QUALITY.
9. DRAINAGE STRUCTURES
EXACT LOCATIONS, OUTFALLS, SLOPES, INVERT ELEVATIONS AND LEVEL OF THE DRAINAGE STRUCTURES
SHALL BE CHECKED AND VERIFIED IN THE FIELD BY THE ENGINEER. MINOR ADJUSTMENTS MAYBE MADE AT
HIS DIRECTION TO SUIT ACTUAL FIELD CONDITIONS.
10.DESIGN DATA / REFERENCES
ENGINEERING / GEODETIC SURVEYS UNDERTAKEN BY THE DPWH - 3RD ENGINEERING DISTRICT
AND THE REFERENCES OF PLANS ARE BASED ON STANDARD.
11. ROAD SIGNAGES / PAVEMENTS MARKINGS
REFLECTORIZED THERMOPLASTIC PAVEMENT MARKINGS TO BE USED IN THE PROJECT SHALL BE IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE DPWH - DEPARTMENT ORDER NO. 202, SERIES OF 1992 BEARING THE SUBJECT
"USE OF REFLECTORIZED THERMOPLASTIC PAVEMENT MARKINGS."
PROVISIONS OF BATAS PAMBANSA BILANG 344 (ACCESSIBILITY LAW AND ITS IMPLEMENTING RULES AND
REGULATIONS) MUST BE OBSERVED WHENEVER NECESSARY.
12. MISCELLANEOUS STRUCTURE
THE NECESSARY DRAWINGS CONTAINED IN THE DPWH STANDARD DRAWINGS FOR ROADS AND BRIDGES
SHALL BE UTILIZED FOR THE PROJECT UNLESS OTHERWISE A MORE DETAILED DRAWING IS SPECIFIED
AND / OR AND APPROVED.
BEFORE THE START OF ACTUAL CONSTRUCTION THE "AS STAKED PLAN" SHOULD BE SUBMITTED TO THE
DISTRICT OFFICE IN ORDER THAT IMMEDIATE STEPS MAYBE UNDERTAKEN TO CORRECT OR ADJUST
WHATEVER APPRECIABLE DEVIATION THERE MAYBE FROM THE ORIGINAL PLAN.
