5th CONFERENCE OF RESEARCHERS FOR ACTION AND TRANSFORMATIVE
ENDEAVOR (CReATE) GUIDELINES
1. Eligibility Teacher-researchers of SDO Imus may submit their original full research
paper and action researches.
2. Fields of Specialization/Themes Below is a list of fields of specialization/themes indicated in the Basic
Education Research Agenda which every researcher may explore:
Teaching and Learning
Human Resource Development
Governance
Child Protection
Research projects may also focus on the areas that cut across the major
themes:
Disaster Risk Reduction Management
Inclusive Education
Gender and Development
3. Submission of Research Paper Interested researchers are encouraged to prepare and submit either for oral or
poster presentation, their research entries to DREAM Team email address:
[email protected] or to Ms. Matea Alvyn H. Trinidad with email
address: [email protected] not later than 15 October 2019.
Accepted oral and poster presenters shall be notified via email not later than 21
October 2019.
4. Abstracts Abstracts should consist of 150-200 words following the structured format:
Purpose (objectives of the research)
Design/methodology/approach (How the research was conducted, includes
sampling, mode of data collection, theoretical or subject scope of the paper)
Findings (results of the research, analysis of data, discussion)
Research limitations/implications (methodology parameters that can restrict the
scope of the research findings and are outside the control of the researchers)
Originality/value (What is new in the research? What is the value of the research?
Is the research heuristic or holistic?)
Keywords (Listing of keywords will facilitate the search for the research work;
should be italicized)

5. Mechanics of presentations: Oral Presentation:
a. Oral presentation shall last for 15 minutes with 10 minutes for open forum.
Prepare a slide deck with the following format:
b. The electronic copy of the presentation should be given to the Conference
Secretariat at least 30 minutes before the presentation.
c. The presenters may distribute handouts/brochures in electronic and/or hard
copies to interested participants.
d. Schedules, changes thereto and venue of presentations shall only be made by
the Conference Secretariat.
e. The organizing committee shall have the right to all submitted abstracts and
full version for publication in the Division research journal and for other
research and development use.
Poster Presentation:
a. Presenter is advised to use vertical (portrait) layout 48 x 36-inch size. It shall be displayed in a designated area in the morning of Day 1 of the conference.
b. Poster should also include the Abstract, Introduction, Research Questions, Research Design, Results and Discussions, Conclusions and References.
c. Suggested font sizes: Title 80-90 points; Authors 50-60 points; Affiliation, 45-65 points; Headings, 40-50 points; Text, 30-40 points.
6. For Publication The full paper to be submitted to the Conference Committee shall be written as a
manuscript for I DREAM Research Journal publication observing APA style 6th
edition which has the following components:
