Requirements

Thepurposeofthisprojectistoprovidehigh-speed,high-densitywirelessaccesstoeveryclassroomin

thedistrictincludingthehighschoolauditoriumandthethreegymnasiums.In2015,weexpandedour

Wifito147accesspoints.Inthisbid,wewouldliketofurtherincreaseourwirelesscapacity,replace

olderaccesspoints,makenetworkrepairswhereneededandimproveInternetconnectivityto

classrooms.

Ourcurrentinfrastructureincludes147MerakiAccessPointsinstalledthroughoutthedistrict.

Theprojectisbrokendownintothreeseparatesections:

Section1–MerakiWirelessAccessPointsand5-yearenterpriselicenses Section2–NetworkSwitches(HPProcurve)

Section3– FurnishandinstallCategory6WiringfromtheDataCentertoeachlocationlistedin

thissectionandprovideMulti-ModeFiberbetweendataclosets.closets.

Section4- BatteriesforAPCUninterruptablePowerSupplies

beanapprovedserviceproviderandincludetheirSPINnumberwiththeirbid.TheUSACwebsitecanbe

ProjectTiming:

VendorswillbenotifiedonorbeforeMay15,2017iftheyarethesuccessfulbidder.Theprojectstart

dateiscontingentonreceivingourFundingCommitmentDecisionLetter(FCDL)fromUSAC.Theearliest

possiblestartdateisJuly1,2017.Iftheprojectcannotbecompletedinitsentiretybeforethefirstday

ofschool(9/5/2017),thentheprojectinstallationmustbedoneduringnon-schoolhoursorpostpone

thestartdateChristmasvacation(12/21/17–12/31/2017).Vendorsshallincludeacontingencyofprice

increasesthatwillaccountforprojectdelays.

StagingandOtherfactors:

Dependinguponthetotalcostoftheprojectandtheoverallbudget,theBreitungTownshipSchoolsmay

choosetoscaletheprojectscope.Ifthatisthecase,vendorsshallbeabletoscaletheirproposaland

provideitemizedpricing.Vendorswillbeselectedbasedontheiroverallbidontheentireproject.
