SAFE BOATING KIOSK BID 2007

Q~.jectiveTo find an all-inclusive company that has the ability to put together the hardware of one kiosk, design

attractive, custom software to run on the kiosk.

Hardware¯ Kiosk hardware must include a minimum of the following:

¯ ADA compliant

¯ Kiosk enclosure will have a locked access door, be rugged for short-term outdoor use, and have thecapability to be anchored to the floor.

Software¯ Company must have in-house sofl~vare designers who can design custom, eye-catching, attractive software

for the kiosk.¯ Software must be designed to run interactively or using web-based content.

o The software design will include, at a minimum, the creation of a main menu page, sub menupages, pages that have been created in PowerPoint, pages to be created by the software designer, asurvey and exam that users will be able to take, the ability to score the exam and save the results onthe hard drive, the creation of a matching game and an interactive "what to pack on your vessel"game. The DEP will have the final approval of the soft~vare designed, and will supply thenecessary information to the designer.

¯ Software that includes lnternet access must be limited only to Boating content.¯ Navigation buttons must be designed to be "finger-friendly".¯ Logos, and colors must be consistent with existing DEP and Boating images¯ Software designers must design a customized, attractive loop that can run while the kiosk is not in use.¯ The software available to users must not allow users to access any additional computer components, such

as exiting the intended material and getting to the desktop to launch other applications.
