    1. Copies of the special l i s t s of equipment (copies attaohed)for Service Gr'oups t prepared by this headquarters. were furnished toAir Technical Service Command with recommendation that these be includedin a ll equiprnent for new VIR uings and affi l iated Service Groups enter-ing new theaters.

    2. The principal deficiency experienced by this C o ~ : a n d has beenina..dequate pouer generating equipment, which has been due to the failureof the Corps of Engineers to provide central power p lan ts fo r normalfunctions and have made i t necessarY for operating units to divert AFgenerating plants for household use.3. Action should be taken by all new wings to provide at least

    ten (10) additional 30 or 50 ~ diesel operated generating units .4. The operation !if the 73rd !ling duriIl(; the f i"s t sixty (60) daya,prior to the Gua..t:I. Air Depot being able to f'urnish any service whatsoever,indicates that the tables furnished VIR Uings are inadequate. Consump-t ion figures of the = B:>mber i'JoJ:nmd have been furnished the Air Tech-nical Servioe C O L ~ n d for their use in preparing revised tables toaccoElpany new wings departing from the United States.. Under separatecover, a copy'of projected requirements for this Comoand for a six (6)months period,. April thru Septet1ber, is being forwarded to Headquarters,

    XX Bomber Comnand.5- Each new wing should also request an increased amount of personalflying clothing, combat equipment, cameras and other accessorieS installedin a irc ra ft TI'hich are l ikely to be salvoed in case of 6l1ergency.
