CUTTING TOOLS

Hurst cutters provide maximum cutting force and totalflexibility. From the lightweight, compact ML-40 to thepowerful JL-11, they are engineered to handle any cuttingrequirements in an extrication.

ML-75

The ML-75 has the largest blade opening of any curvedblade cutter. Combine this with Hurst’s unique serratedcutting edges and you get a big bite, a sure grip, and thepower that only Hurst can provide. Unlike ordinary cuttersthat may require two or even three cuts to sever the samematerial, the 7-1/2 inch blade can sever several obstacles ina single bite. Straight and curved blade cutters are availablefor a variety of different applications.

ML-50

The“Mighty-Bite” is small, lightweight, and powerful. Perfectfor those applications where a larger tool won’t fit — andsmaller tools just won’t cut it.

ML-12

The Mighty-Lite Straight Blade Cutter specializes in sheetmetal, guard rails, and panel-type applications. Easy tomaneuver and store, the ML-12 works well in tight spacesbecause it cuts to the very end of the tip. It also features alarge bar cutter notch. This tool provides straight bladecutter performance but weighs only 37 pounds.

ML-40

This ultra lightweight, compact cutter offers 22,455 pounds of cuttingforce in a tool that weighs less than 19 pounds. Highly maneuverable,it gives you the power you need when you need it.

JL-150

The revolutionary design of the Multi-Cell Lifting System offers

advantages that no other airbag system can match. Our exclusive

multi-chamber construction allows the rescuer to lift from 14 to

16 inches (36 to 40 cm) at a time, to a maximum of 48 inches (122

cm). This controlled gradual lift, along with the larger footprint of

the bag, offers unparalleled stability. Each chamber can also

operate as an individual airbag. Our unique heat-bonding

manufacturing process creates a seam that is actually the

strongest part of the bag. This design feature results in superior

durability over other type products where the seam is generally

the weak point of the bag. The large gripping surface on the top

of the bag is molded in, not glued, so that it will never become

brittle and crack or fall off. And our Multi-Cell Lifting System will

work either from the Hurst command console or from a separate

fitting controller.

For additional operator safety, Hurst builds in a 14.7 psi (1

bar) back up relief valve into each chamber of the bag. The back

up relief valve, along with the relief valves on the controllers, is

an exclusive feature found only in the Hurst Multi-Cell Lifting

System.
