Research Administration

• Research Administration is a major component of Johns Hopkins. In most instances, it is conducted by teams of professionals consisting of faculty members, research assistants, administrators, and students.

• There are five divisional research administration offices which oversee sponsored projects including contracts, grants, and special funding opportunities.

The Office of Research Administration is the sponsored projects administration office for the Bloomberg School of Public Health, providing top quality support to the campus community’s research, creative activity, technology transfer and outreach/policy initiatives.  ORA identifies opportunities and partnerships, facilitates the submission of all sponsored project proposals on behalf of the School, negotiates and executes agreements, provides advice and guidance regarding applicable rules and regulations and assists faculty, staff and students in proper stewardship of the School’s sponsored projects and technology transfer initiatives.
