Review Strategic Plan / Progress on Plan
• During 2015, Board developed a Strategic Plan to
guide the Association’s development over the next
3-5 years
• Members were extensively consulted so that Board
Members and Management Team had a clear
sense of industry’s priorities
• The outputs of that process were published to
members earlier this year.

2015-16 Review
Strategy 3: Ensure Organisational Sustainability (Governance,
Management, Finances).
• Each Board Member working with EC and Management Team on an area of specific interest
• Some progress with strategic partnerships and sponsors (PD, Website, RAEAWARDS,
Conference). Importance of sponsorships, partnerships, advertising etc to supplement
levies.
• Financial and member numbers reviewed at every monthly Board Meeting. Incomes spread
largely over:
• Member Levies 41.5% (mainly funding GM and ES)
• Conference 41.5% (Generated $41K surplus)
• Sponsors and Advertising 12% (Excluding Conference and Awards)
• Other Events (L&D etc) 5% (Funds events, L&D, AGM etc)
• Ongoing challenge to identify and explore new sources of funding to ensure long term
sustainability of Association. Important that members support services provided and
communicate their needs and preferences.
