Research supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has contributed to some of
the most dramatic advances in human health.
Last year (FY 2010), OSUMC received
$190 million in research funding
71of our researchers have received
funding from ARRA grants
As of September of this year, the NIH has already awarded $76 million dollars to 160 projects here at OSU.

OSUMC is a proud supporter of the Research Means Hope initiative which aims to show both the public and elected officials that increased federal funding of the NIH and their grant programs today will pay a lifetime of dividends in better health and quality of life for all

The economic impact of OSUMC to the local and state economy was $11.4 billion in 2007 with more than 144,00 full time jobs
