ISARIC opened to recruitment
A study involving multiple samples at differing time
points. This study has evolved to include more samples
and an increased data set.
First patient recruited to ISARIC
RECOVERY Trial opened to recruitment
A randomised evaluation of COVID 19 therapy, which involves
various known medications to analysis the most effective
treatment against COVID19

OUR COVID 19 RESEARCH TIMELINE
Welcome to the special
edition of Research
Snapshot. As a team we
want to share our
successes and
contribution in the Global
fight against COVID-19.
We have a range of
studies open that
investigate treatments,
sampling and data
collection. See below our
timeline of how these
studies have developed
during the pandemic.
GenOMICC Trial opened to recruitment
The study looks at how susceptible how patients are to life
threatening infections by taking blood samples to look at
their DNA and cells.

A national registry of maternal and neonatal outcome
data on women who have suspected or confirmed COVID
19 infection.

Although the majority of studies at SFH have
been temporarily suspended we still continue
to run some. One MODERATE study participant has completed all treatment ,
where they have been treated with Skilerance for 24 weeks and his psoriasis has
completed cleared. This is a great example of how research can change lives!

Department & other
departments we have
worked with during
this Pandemic
The research
department are
passionate about
ensuring all
patients with
COVID19 or are
being treated for
this are given the
opportunity to
take part,
therefore they
have adapted to
working a 7 day a
week service and
assisting whilst
on the wards.
