SADRUDDIN IMRANChairman & Lead Consultant

Sadruddin Imran is the founder Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Innovi-sion Consulting Private Limited. He is an MBA from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka, Bangladesh and completed advanced training course on Management and Implementation of Development Projects from Asian Institute of Tech-nology, Thailand. Imran is responsible for overall organization development and man-agement of Innovision. He served as the project director of long term projects of Innovi-sion in the field of agriculture, industries and Information and Communication Technolo-gy (ICT) where he supervised teams to design, implement and monitor project activities and interventions. Imran previously worked in a large multi-donor-funded market devel-opment project where he was a member of the core leadership team.

Imran also works as a consultant on making markets work for the poor (M4P), value chain development (VCD), project design and project evaluation. He served various donors, donor funded projects and quasi-government organizations in doing research in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Nepal, Nigeria, Yemen and United King-dom. He is also an expert training facilitator on market assessment, market develop-ment, and monitoring and evaluation related topics. Imran participated in various train-ings and seminars in India, South Africa, Thailand, China, Italy, and United Kingdom.

Md. Rubaiyath Sarwar is the co-founder and the Managing Director of Innovision Con-sulting Private Limited. Over the last 12 years, he has worked extensively in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nigeria, Mozambique, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and Yemen on facilitating the private sector, trade associations, NGOs and government organizations to develop and sustain innovations on supply chain, marketing, financial and skill development services in agricultural, industrial and health markets. Rubaiyath works for bi-lateral and multi-lat-eral aid agencies to design, manage and evaluate projects that are working on business solutions to poverty and climate resilience.

As the co-founder and Managing Director of Innovision, Rubaiyath Sarwar has led the company to evolve as an international consultancy. At Innovision, Rubaiyath leads the research, technical assistance, and growth management and communications teams. He frequently participates in global dialogue on inclusive business, making markets work for the poor (M4P), value chain development, private sector engagement for poverty alleviation and monitoring for results. He is also a trainer on M4P, Value Chain Develop-ment and DCED standard for results measurement. Rubaiyath is an MBA from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka. Mr. Sheikh Mahbubul Alam has over 17 years of experience in looking after the finance of major national and international organizations. He has served organizations such as Katalyst, ICE Telecom, Afghan Wireless and Scholastica. He is adept at financial forecasting, modeling, analysis and analysis of cost and expenses against budget. He has extensive experience in looking after and maintaining large scale organizations such as Afghan wireless sister project SWS where he had looked after an annual turnover of around USD 35 million. He is skilled in various financial softwares such as Tally, Sextant and QuickBooks. He received training on Financial Management Certificate Course, Business Intelligence with Excel, Financial Modeling and Advanced Excel etc.

Abdur Rob is an economist, Value Chain, Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction expert with 30 years’ experience. He has worked at senior positions with leadership, manage-ment and consulting responsibility to programme development and

implementation in the �eld of Making Market Works for the Poor (M4P), Small Enterprise Development, Micro-credit, Agriculture, DRR and Climate Change, Adult Education and Rural Community Devel-opment. In his long career, he formed e�ective partnerships with 60 NGOs, private sector businesses and government departments such as Fisheries, Livestock, Agriculture and Youth Department in Bangla-desh, India, Nepal and Philippines. He is highly skilled and experi-enced in facilitating di�erent types of training and events involving media, private sector, development sector and government sector stakeholders. Rahid Ahmed is an expert in market research with over 17 years of experience with clients from Bangladesh, China, Canada, India, Pakistan, Philipinnes, United States and United Kingdom. He has worked in FMCG, Cement, Pharmaceuticals, Paint and Telecom Industry on research related to branding, customer satisfaction survey, pricing and mystery shopping. Rahid has also conducted large scale studies on nationwide shop census, opinion poll and media research. Market System AnalysisOne of the major challenges pertaining to inclusive development is the lack of capacity of the economically challenged households on participating in markets. We analyse markets and market systems to determine underlying constraints or market problems that restrict economically challenged households on participating in the markets. We have expertise on market research and market systems analysis in agricultural, industrial, health and other basic services markets.

Value chain analysisValue chain analysis can help development projects targeting income and employment generation, women and youth inclusion to determine bottlenecks that reduce the capacity of the economically challenged producers from tapping onto opportunities in the local, regional, or international markets. Innovision conducted an assessment of the Nepalese Garments sector on behalf of the Ministry of

Industries of Nepal. The UK Aid funded SAMARTH - Nepal Market Development Project (NMDP) embarks

on a market intelligence study to identify speci�c gaps and demands pertaining to the Nepalese

Garment Industry, which has been identi�ed as one of the prime exportable commodities

Innovision performed Value Chain Analysis of the RMG Sector from the

Perspective of Ensuring Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR).

It included comprehensive mapping, fact-�nding, and analysis exercise through a consultative and

participatory approach engaging the stakeholders and actors from

We conduct project evaluation and end line assessments of development programmes in the fields of livelihood, economic development, and health care. We support development projects to design Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks. We specialize on the Donor Committee for Enterprise Development (DCED) standard for monitoring and results measurement of market development projects. We support development projects to design M&E framework based on DCED standard. We also help our development partners adopting DCED to capture wider systemic changes and quality results based on DCED.

Climate Risk Mitigation

Climate risk mitigation refers to climate-sensitive decision making. The approach promotes sustainable development by reducing the vulnerability associated with climate risk by minimizing negative outcomes for communities in fields such as agriculture and health. Apart from mitigating adverse effects from climate risks, it also helps to maximize opportunities in climate-sensitive economic issues such as maximizing crop productiv-ity by utilizing seasonal forecasts by farmers.

Gender & Equality

Gender & Equality mostly focuses on the Women's Right and Economic Development. According to UNICEF, it seeks to ensure that the women and men, boy and girls enjoy the same rights, resources, opportunities and protection but does not require them to be treated exactly alike.

Financial Inclusion

The disadvantaged are typically men and women from lower-income backgrounds with reduced capability suffering from social exclusion and have limited access to resources and economic opportunities. They are often landless or marginal farmers operating on the most unproductive land.

With shrinking agricultural land and increasing pressure to ensure food security, developing countries are increasingly focusing on improving agricultural productivity while ensuring sustainability of production. Processing for value added agricultural products have also become a major strategy on creating employment and increasing income for the farm households. Development projects thus need the right analytics to design and implement interventions that can contribute to sustainable growth of agricultural productivity and create opportunities for value addition and diversification.

Since our launch, we have served development partners in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Yemen and Mozambique to analyse agricultural markets and value chains, design, and manage interventions that can stimulate growth in agricultural markets. Our portfolio of subsectors and value chains is expanding with each assignment. Till date we have supported development projects intervening in fisheries (prawn, shrimp, tilapia, thai koi, white fish), high value crops (banana, chilli, floriculture, ground nut, maize, mustard, onion, potato, pineapple, rice, turmeric, wheat), poultry and livestock (beef fattening, dairy) subsectors and value chains.

Industrial subsectors are driving growth in emerging markets. Bangladesh like many other developing countries and emerging economies in the world, have observed rapid growth in industrial subsectors. Ready Made Garments (RMG), furniture, plastics, light engineering, electrical and electronics industries are thriv-ing. Development partners are increasingly focusing on these subsectors as a means to create employment for skilled work-ers.

We have extensive experience on research, project manage-ment and evaluation on value added industrial products (furni-ture, jute diversified products, leather goods, plastics), food processing, renewable energy and waste recycling subsectors. We have served clients to design and manage interventions in industrial subsectors in Bangladesh, Yemen, and Nigeria. We are also working on service industries that include financial mar-kets and technical and vocation education and training.

Innovision is supporting development partners to design and manage interventions on malaria control, maternal new-borns and child health (MNCH), management of chronic diseases, sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR). While health care continues and will continue to be driven by public health interven-tions, there is an increasing interest on supporting the private sector to establish viable models that could meet the health care needs of the people living under the poverty line. Affordability, accessibility, and awareness are keys to sustaining such models. We are supporting malaria control programmes to develop viable models for distribution of preventive and curative products through commercial channels. We were one of the key technical partners on the design of a health innovation challenge fund programme.
