My country name is Morocco. The government type in my country
is a constitional democracy. The protests in Morocco began in
February of 2011. The people of Rabat and Casablanca started the
protests. The people were protesting King Mohammed VI to give up
some of his very wide-ranged power of the country and people. The
government responded to this by accepting the changes proposed by
giving up his divine rights as sovereign and forced him to nominate
a prime minister from the largest party in the parliament. The
result of the protests was the king remains ultimate authority in
Morocco, but has lost some powers.

King Mohammed VI is the king of Morocco. His history of leading
Morocco has consisted of many things. In 1999 King Hassanll was
succeeded by his son (now the current leader on Morocco) Mohammed
VI. He has had to deal with many important events in his 15 years
of being king. A couple examples would be, in 2003 forty people in
Morocco were killed in a suicide bombing. In 2004 the free trade
agreement with the US came into effect. The last example of major
events that have occurred in Morocco in the last 15 years is in
2014. The king was protested in the cities of Rabat and other
cities in Morocco. He was forced to give up some of his wide-ranged
power over the country. He is currently still the ultimate
authority in Morocco and has elected a prime minister from the
dominate party of the parliament.
