REC Ql'.1l\1El\J1JS that:

(a) Governments which have-·not yet accepted the Convention

on Facilitation of International Maritime Traffic, 1965, consider doing so as soon as prnctic8ble;

(t) Governillents for which early acceptance of the

Facilitation Convention js not possible, nevertheless

proceed with the implement2tion of standardized

shipping documents as a b2.sic effect.Lve measure of

facilitation in maritime traffic;

(c) Governments encourage =:..ncreased co-opero.tion in

achieving the universLll adoption of attached

Stan~ardized Model Forms 1-6 and in securing the

highest possible degree of uniformity in docum2ntary

requirements and proc2dures by keeping to a minimum

any alterations ne ad e d to meet special national

requirements;

( d) Governments take all possible stops to amend national

Laws , where necessary, to enable them to accept the

Standards and Recommended Practices set out in the

Annex to the Facilitation Convention;

(e) Governme.r_ts, which have 11ot yet done so, inform

the Secretary-G2neral us soon as possible of the steps

taken to implement the i lod e L Forms and Recommended

Practices or of the difficulti0s experienced with

respect to the implementation of individual form or

Recommended Practiceso
