With beefier woofers and upgraded compression drivers, the new Resound HD series offers the style and performance associated with far more expensive enclosures. Samson’s first step in developing the new Resound HD line was to increase the power handling of the woofers. As a result, the new custom design for the low frequency driver allows 300 watts of program power handling at eight ohms from a 10- inch speaker. Every speaker also includes a 1.5-inch compression driver that has been upgraded to titanium to provide increased performance on the top end. The cabinet design has also been revamped to complement any professional sound system and provide a durable, all-plywood solution for performing musicians and installers. The Resound HD series is offered in a variety of configurations of loudspeaker cabinets and floor monitors: the RS10HD has a 10-inch driver and handles 300 watts; the RS12HD has a 12-inch driver and handles 500 watts; the RS15HD has a 15- inch driver and handles 600 watts; the RS215HD boasts dual 15-inch drivers and handles 1200 watts. The line also offers the 10, 12 and 15 single drivers as wedge floor monitors. For the new Resound HD series, versatility truly is the name of the game.
