Extrat from "STCW"1)All pearsons who are assigned duty as on officer in charge or as a rating forming a watch shall be provided a min.of 10 hrs of rest in 24 hrs
2)The hours of rest may be divided into no more then two periods, one of watch shall be at least 6 hours in length…………………………….
3)The requirements for rest periods laid down in 1 and 2 need to be maintained in the case of emergency or drill or in other overriding opere-
