Intern at Awana 2007-present Creative Services Streamwood, IL I have had a wide range of responsibilities at Awana. I have started and completed full creative projects and have assisted the other designers in their projects. I have learned how to follow style guidelines, start projects from scratch, work on a team effectively and I have also learned how to take constructive criticism and critique others’ work during design reviews. I would like to put my creative skills to use on a team that values excellent design and hard work. Lifeguard 2005-2008 Poolside Plus Elgin, IL I was able to make critical decisions, take control of dangerous situations, and remain calm under pressure. I had to work alone the majority of the time so I had to learn to rely on my own instincts and make concise decisions even though my manager was not present. Receptionist 2003-2005 Community Recreational Center Schaumburg, IL I was able to develop people skills and handle patron complaints in a polite manner. I also developed computer skills and data entry skills.
