Controlled by a STD 32-based industrial computer,

CHARLOTTE was a “passenger” in1995 Space Shuttle flight

(STS 63).

Sr. Marketing Specialist: Served as a liaison between departments to

create and improve customer service. Participated in setting up and

running tradeshows. Worked very closely with the production

department to meet customers’ shipment delivery dates. Worked with

the accounting department on Latin American accounts. Supported the

sales force with RFIs and RFQs. This is where I learned to speak the

‘geek’ talk: resistors, kernels, GHz, backplanes, twisted pair, etc

STD 32 Product Manager: Embraced the responsibility of over 150

products for all areas relating to: inventory replenishment, product

shipments, pricing, forecasting, engineering support, prototypes and

demand. Created the “Slimfast” inventory program that allowed to

manage a one million dollar inventory of end-of-life components. My

‘geek’ speak went to a higher level: CompacPCI architecture, thermal

shock, I/O front or back, PICMG 2.16 , 3U, 6U, 8U..wow! It keeps going.

STD 32 Product Line Manager: Supervised the communication between

departments to ensure inventory, sales, and production goals were on

target. Negotiated contracts and coordinated logistics with a third-party

vendor to transfer the Customer Service of the STD 32 product line

while monitoring finished goods and authorizing transfers to an outside

warehouse. With this new product line now I’m a “bilingual geek” I

speak STD32 & CompactPCI architecture.

Sales & Marketing Manager: Coffee Management Software, provider of

roasting solutions (Start-Up). Directed marketing efforts to raise

awareness of company products and services. Developed and

coordinated product requirements, prototypes and beta programs for

selected customers. Participated in numerous tradeshows that lead

into highly qualified leads. Software for Coffee? Yes! In order for the

big roasters to provide you with a consistent coffee flavor, it is critical

that the roasting is done at consistent temperatures throughout its

roasting. I’m a little bias but I still think Colombian coffee is the best-

until proven wrong.
