Responsibilities:-

Working in R&D Dept on various Projects. Project management and purchasing quality material from companies. Design work includes Product Definition according to customer requirements, Designing product with CAD

software, material selection, Prototype development, testing of prototype with real time simulation and finally optimization (cost, material etc).

On-site Erection, Commissioning, Internal & External Inspection, Project Planning & Scheduling

Project 1: Design of Mandrel for Rocket

Brief: The aim of the project is to determine the feasibility for collapsible and foldable mandrels and explore techniques for expediting rapid production of rocket propellant motors which will avoid or eliminate machining of the propellant. When the hollow portion consists of large undercuts casting the propellant profile is a challenge. A large undercut profile cannot be cast with the help of simple mandrels. To achieve the undercut machining operations are undertaken which are risky and time consuming. An alternate method or device is required which will enable easy removal of the mandrel and will eliminate the process of machining of the propellant.

Responsibilities:

1. To attempt demonstration of working scaled down prototypes of one method for assembling and disassembling rocket motors.

2. To evaluate possibility of dismantling/ removal of the mandrel by simple machines/mechanics from a remote location.

3. Determining, implementing and monitoring production strategies, policies and plans

4. Planning details of production activities in terms of output quality and quantity, cost, time available and labour requirements

5. Controlling the operation of production plant and quality procedures through planning of maintenance, designation of operating hours and supply of parts and tools

6. Monitoring production output and costs, and adjusting processes and resources to minimise costs

7. Informing other Managers about production matters

Name of sponsoring organization: DRDO India

Period of funding: 36 month

Amount of grant: 20 Lakhs

Project 2: Design of Punctured Assistant Apparatus

Brief: To design portable trolley system for punctured two wheeler to assist the users to take the punctured motorcycle to nearby service outlets. This device will be very effective especially in rural & urban area where service outlets are not readily available.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and fabrication of mechanism

2. study of different material

3. optimization of cost

4. Weight Reduction

5. Friction Reduction between wheels and road.

Name of sponsoring organization: RGSTC, Govt of Maharashtra

Period of funding: 18 month

Amount of grant: 18 Lakhs

Project 3: Development of Autonomous robot for separating oil spills

Brief: To develop method of preparation of metal Nano-particles using green chemistry techniques and its Application for Autonomous oil spill Absorbing Robot. This device floats on the water after being set out from a helicopter or boat. It can track the source of the spill and concentrate on cleaning the spill in that area. In the middle of the robot is a compartment full of Nano-particles mesh. As the oil splashes into the compartment, the meshing adsorbs the oil and returns clean ocean water.

Responsibilities:

1. Directing research into production methods, and recommending and implementing initiatives

2. Overseeing the acquisition and installation of new plant and equipment

3. Controlling the preparation of production records and reports

4. Coordinating the implementation of occupational health and safety requirements

5. Directing staff activities and monitoring their performance
