Maybe you’ll even strike up a conversation with someone regarding their/your mug. Canoe/Kayak Adventure for Youth Enjoy a 5 mile adventure on the Mississippi led by Clearwater Outfitters staff- canoes, kayaks and life jackets provided Grades 7-12 Thursday, June 27-Meet at church at 2:30 pm Cost: $10 a person for RLC youth; $19 a person for non-member youth to canoe and $25 a person for non-member youth to kayak (no one will be turned away due to cost- scholarships available if needed). Together, in 2019, we can be 100 HOMES STRONG! Turn faith into action at our Faith/100th Build--consider sending a small volunteer group (4-6 individuals) for a shift at our Faith/100th Build for a day. Perhaps challenge your faith family to a week commitment! We are very excited about this year’s Faith Build and the opportunities it provides for our faith communities to live out their church’s ministry, engage their members and see the miracle that occurs when God touches the hearts of new homeowners and the volunteers who work alongside them. How to become involved… Habitat for Humanity welcomes volunteer crews of all skill levels and will provide training and supervision. No experience necessary! We will try and accommodate your day/date preference, and volunteer work crews are generally scheduled Tues-Wed-Thur weekly, with an occasional evening and Saturday. Employment Opportunity: Resurrection Lutheran Church is looking to hire 1-2 reliable people to work in our nursery helping to care for our young children (currently ages 1-4 years). Help is needed on Sundays in the summer (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend) from 8:45-10:15 AM. The rest of the year help is needed from 8:15 – 11:45 on Sundays. Occasional extra hours with advanced notice and availability. Experience working with/caring for young children/ babysitting preferred. CPR/First Aide units preferred. Attendant will engage with the children through play and reading stories. Attendant will be required to have a background check and pass the church's requirement for the Child and Youth Abuse Prevention Program. Please include 3 references when applying. June Worship Host Team Please check your Sunday schedules and find a time to sign up for a worship host role (Acolyte, Assisting Minister, Communion Hosts, Fellowship Host, Reader, Ushers) You may sign up for as many roles as you want, as many times as you want. It is important to have a variety of persons ministering in front of the congregation during Sunday worship as it helps foster a community of hospitality and service. All people, of all ages, are encouraged to find a worship role that they are comfortable with, or you can even try something new! Sign-up sheets for this month are online at Sign-Up Genius and on the bulletin board across from the coat closet.
Intergenerational Mission Trip Our annual intergenerational mission trip to Peoples Church in Bemidji will be July 6th through the 10th. It is open to all ages and you can pick and choose to come the days that work for you whether it is one day or all five. It is a great trip for the family to do together! We will be doing a variety of jobs such as cleaning and repair work as well as providing a community meal and activities for children in the area.
There is a sign-up sheet on the interest table. Susan Curtis will be happy to answer any questions you have.
Father’s Day Breakfast Show dad just how much he means to you by bringing him to the Father’s Day Breakfast at Resurrection. The breakfast will be served from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Sunday June 16th. We will be serving breakfast pizza’s, rolls, fruit, juice and coffee.

4th of July Parade We are looking for individuals to walk, roll, ride or dance with us in the St. Joseph 4th of July parade. Our theme is going to be, God is on the move! We are encouraging families or individuals to come and walk, roller blade, ride in a wagon, get pushed in a stroller, however you would like to move!! If anyone has a truck and trailer we could use for individuals that would prefer to ride we would really appreciate that. There is a sign-up sheet on the interest table.
