Love Kids? Love Jesus? Want to help Children Learn, Love and Live our Faith?
Consider serving as a Catechist (Group Leader) or Aide in our Children’s Religious Education program. This is a wonderful ministry for those wishing to share our faith with children and learn more about what it means to be an active, engaged Catholic.
Volunteers are needed as Catechists in our Religious Education program: Pre-K, Kindergarten, Grades 1-8 and Special Education. BASIC CERTIFICATION classes are offered by the Diocese to form a foundation for teaching and sharing our faith. Catechist Training also provided by the RE office. Contact the RE office for more information. Join us as we encourage children to become disciples of Jesus and become closer to Jesus yourself. (949) 586-4550 or [email protected]
Our VBS week was the Coolest ever thanks to all of you!
Thanks to all of our craft helpers and volunteers, from pre-schoolers to age 70 plus! Everyone pitched in to help our kids (over 190!) have a wonderful, faith-filled week of bible stories, skits, snacks, crafts, games and music! We sure couldn’t do it without all their help and support!
Much gratitude for the incredible support of our Parishioners with their participation, patience, do-nations, take home activities, behind the scenes painting, craft preparations and set-designing. You really helped set the wilderness and mountainous scene! Big hugs to our friends at CALVARY CHAPEL Church in Mission Viejo for sharing with us their amazing VBS set pieces. Combined with our super-duper set designed by Caroline Pitale, aka Ms. P, Robin and friends, who put our decorations over the top!
We were overwhelmed with the response to our request for BACK PACKS for our Special Needs Pre-Schoolers at La Tierra in Mission Viejo. We were especially happy to be able to donate buckets of Birthday Party supplies to GALE KAHN of PARTY PEPPER UPPERS. We also collected lots of canned and packaged food to support our FOOD PANTRY.
We made new friends, shared God Sighting stories and spent the week soaking up all the good-ness that comes from sharing God’s love! Best of all we learned that that God will provide for all our needs with His love, comfort, healing and forgiveness. During hard times we remember to HOLD ON to His Mighty Power and we can face any of life’s challenges! We’ll see you next year as our VBS Expedition will be exploring an exciting underground CAVE QUEST to discover Jesus is The Light of the World!
